I totally agree that adding a chance to travel through other Dimensions is a nice addition to the Physics of Star Wars.
It was one of the few things missing in the Star Wars universe over Star Trek.
Nice job with the Katana Warship.

1 trivial question: if I uninstall the Rebels Craft Pack, will the Darksaber Craft Pack be uninstalled as well?

REBCP installation is added to the DSUCP. If you unistall REBCP, the DSUCP will be restored.

Thank you for the answer.
As I wrote before, I really like your mod, in particular the atmospheric missions (never seen such wonders), the variety of vehicles you can fly as default crafts, and the technology owned by the Romins to travel through a new Dimension.
I've just uninstalled REBCP because I wish to play with the MC90 Defiance and the MC104 Odysseus again.
I see the Rebel pilot is still set to the reserved mission slot reached playing the REBCP mod, so it's ready to be selected when I'll reinstall the mod again.

I recently completed a playthrough of this. Very nicely done! I was very impressed by the overall balance (although I did end up resorting to dirty tricks on a few occasions :-)) and the custom hangars. I have to wonder, would it be possible to install alternative combat music? "Duel of the Fates" would compliment the Naboo missions very nicely.

I noted that the known issue of the flickering planetary backdrops in high resolutions is closely related to the camera facing. This gives me hope that it might be fixable, though I haven't had a chance to turn on invulnerability and study it closely.

I completed Battles 8 and 9 at Hard Difficulty and I must admit I sometimes had to use a few old tricks.
Battle 10 is a completely different thing: Medium Difficulty setting is already tough.

Hello,
To avoid to have to uninstall/reinstall mods everytime, you can have multiple install folders. When you install a mod, you can make a copy of the game folder. Then use the copied folder to run the game, leaving the main game directory intact. To avoid to have to switch the folders, you can launch the game directly with XWingAlliance.exe for a given folder instead of Alliance.exe (the launcher).

There is a little problem with having multiple install folders: when I run the installer of a mod such as the Darksaber craft pack, it automatically places the mod in the main game directory, so I cannot leave it intact.
I can use the launcher in the copied folder to run the vanilla game instead, but I can have only 1 mod installed at any given time.

The next generation of installers will let you override the directory... so I'm told. :-)

But in the meantime the process is something like: install game; backup vanilla; install DSUCP; backup DSUCP; install REBCP; play any of the three directly from its directory.

Understood. Each time I wish to install a new mod, I have to backup the old X-Wing Alliance directory first, whatever mod it already contains.

Went to finally get the REBCP install going and found it wasn't updated yet. I had an urge to do some rebel stuff and see that sexy U-wing again. My body is ready DTM, any update?

The new version of REBCP will be 2.0: instead of limiting myself to a simple update, I'm working on a complete reorganization of the available slots. In this way I will be able to add many ships, including those of the Resistance era.

I will post the final list of added crafts soon. One of them is still WIP (Resistance A-Wing). Many new features are ready. I hope to release the new 2.0 version at the end of this summer...

Now I am beyond excited.

Can't wait for the ship list. I'm going to pray in T-85 X-wing :D

I am very very uncertain about the T-85 X-Wing ... because it's ugly! Very ugly. Some say it could only be an artistic choice of the art-designer of the TV-show, but I disagree. All the other spaceships on the show are drawn in a very detailed way.
I'm not sure what to think about its design, but I have a theory:

Perhaps the T-85 X-Wing is used only by the New Republic (not by the Resistance), because it was designed after the disarmament treaty signed by the New Republic. The T-85 may not be equipped with heavy weapons, because it has been designed for electronic war, or for reconnaissance (?) This could explain the absence of the torpedo tubes and those tiny lasers on the wing tips. Some say that the pods on either side of the fuselage could contain the torpedo launchers, but I disagree: their position is incompatible with the canard wings. Pods are more likely to contain sensors...

Perhaps it would be more interesting to know the design of the T-75 or the T-80 ...?

I'm not entirely sure about the artistic part. I mean, Poe's T-70 in the first episode has exactly the same wing configuration as the T-85, even though we know it doesn't have the same configuration. It's also mentioned in several sources that the T-70 is an obsolete version and the T-85 is far more advanced. I would find it odd if they were less potent than the T-70.

I'm sure you've already seen the realistic model someone made?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32vjnFjEFcA

Though ultimately, given that all the post TFA sources made it clear most if not all T-85s have been destroyed, I don't think we're going to see a canon, realistic model anytime soon. Nothing's stopping you from using artistic license to fix the issues you have with the T-85 :D

If your using the Star Viper that's in the DSUCP it's the Tony Knightcrawler version not the Hernan Barreiro version :)

Wow that's a big change to the exe

You wouldn't happen to already have that list parsed with all the craft originally in the slots for DSUCP would you? Like some sort of excel doc? I can sort it on my own if not.

Looking forward to those sweet, sweet sequel ships.

Out of curiosity, seeing as how the MC85 is almost done, are you going to release that one as a stand-alone or as part of REBCP?

MC-85 will be released as stand-alone when I will back home from my holidays.
I'm still working on my Resistance list, because I would like to insert something more...I hope to be able to find new slots...
