The entry-hyperspace point (WP2) and vector (WP2-WP1) for X-Wing Green 3 should be set to collision course with a Gravity well projector of the second Interdictor.
Unfortunately AI controlled fighters do not close s-foils before entering hyperspace in X-Wing Alliance.

@Kilroy What no seems to have noticed is that your "TIE Bomberceptor" if that what it's going to be called, isn't fitted with a bombing chute/Targeting Sensor

So It can't be a true bomber, it can only fire missiles

Oh do you mind if use your design and a version of it for XWA?

The protagonist was intended to be Green 2, I just didn't have an audio clip that really fit after scanning the entire XWA library.

For anybody looking to build the mission (Star Wars: Imperial Assault) using a mission editor, the Alliance "custom Flight Groups" (aka Global Units) are as follows.
Green Group: 3 X-Wings and 1 A-Wing
Red Group: 6 X-Wings
Gold Group: 4 A-Wings and 2 B-Wings (let's avoid inserting the Z-95 Headhunters)
Blue Group: 3 B-Wings and 3 Y-Wings

And there is also a Global Unit entirely made of YT-series Corellian Transports.
They only appear for a split second but there are also two gold R-41 Starchasers. Not sure if there's room though.

Go right ahead! I mentioned the lack of a chute in a previous post about it. It could perhaps work as a dive bomber of sorts, but the name is more from aesthetics really.

Thanks :) Sorry I didn't read about the chute :)

In which case you can't really call it a Bomberceptor, as removing the chute renders the bomber name mute as it can't bomb any more,

I guess you could call it the TIE Missileceptor or TIE Strikerceptor :)

If you guys enjoyed this there is also the Rebel Strike video from a few months back. It's much smaller scale relatively speaking but someone might get a kick out of it.

All good suggestions for names. However, from now on I shall call this design, Steve. No, not the Tie Steve. Just Steve.

It is a canon now.

The idea of a TIE Stuka Dive Bomber is giving me all sorts of fuzzy good feelings.

The idea for it was just as you'd expect. A tie bomber that can dogfight a bit.
Isn't that role filled by the gunboat? :-?

The gunboat is more of an imperial y-wing really.

This hybrid fighter would be a cheap craft just like the interceptor and bomber, so no shields, no hyperdrive, and swarm tactics would set it apart from the gunboat.

I'm going on a road trip for a few days but when I get back I may start work on another fan film.

I'm not really sure what the plot will be but it will likely be from the imperial's POV.

Wow! There is a Y-Wing from Violet Group: I haven't seen that squadron colour since the last time I played the old Galactic Battlegrounds.
And in Star Wars: Rebel Strike at 0:22 there are Blue Bulk Freighters. Colours for Transports would be a nice addition to X-Wing Alliance.

Tinkering with a couple new models for the next video.

Rebel Tanker from ESB.
Image

An original design. Some kind of smallish frigate.

Is the gold wing Assault Gunboat supposed to be a custom flight group leader?

Yes, as a well as a nod to the gold Gunboats that occasionally appeared in the games.

Would be nice to have some blue Assault Gunboats too, since GUN Nu (blue) was 1 of the 2 squadrons defending the Imperial Research Center.
