I absolutely love this guy's work. And specifically this bulk freighter. Very reminiscent of The original TIE Fighter with its hard lines. I much prefer it over the current XWA version. The coolest part is seeing just how the whole thing works in his head.

His stormtrooper transport rocks. Would love to get his models ported into this game engine, but scaled back some. The larger craft especially.
ual002, I"m not signed up on his site but does he allow any of his models to be downloaded ? What format? .LWO, .MAX, .3DS, .OBJ etc. ?

As far as I know, none of his model files are public anymore since LucasArts used his Star Destroyer in their promos for The Force Unleashed without permission.
But even if the files were public, it would be a lot easier to remodel the designs from scratch than to try and reduce the polycount on them.
they're just too high quality to look good doing that method.

No, I think his models are his final product artwork. I never found DL links.

He doesn't mind people recreating his designs. there are several mods for other games that have recreated his ship designs.

Interesting. In the first 5 screenshots he shows how a Bulk Freighter gets assembled starting from the body and 4 Class-A cargo containers.

Well I did tell fractalsponge where to find us and that we would probably welcome any contributions.

Thank you. He may not realize how the new patches now allow for more HD models (vertice count lifted) but the 50 mesh limit per model remains. Multiple meshes would have to be consolidated before it could be imported and converted to .opt format. That would save everyone a lot of modeling time and be awesome, but not holding my breath.

Even models to our more recent upgrade standard would be welcome. But then again, we don't really have the ship slots for them.
