Wrath of the Sovereign, after more than two months of work and several metric tons of caffeine, is done.

A rebel strike force baits the flagship super star destroyer Sovereign and its escort fleet. Who will come out on top?

Really enjoyed that.

Fantastic work as usual, in particular I liked the Rebel freighters that took part in the battle, felt exactly like something the Rebels would do.

Just one question, what is that red corvette in the battle? It kinda looks like a modified Corellian Gunship.

That's actually an original design and an artifact from an earlier draft. The first idea was that the rebels were going to use 4-6 interdictor corvettes to hold the imperial fleet in place. Each interdictor corvette would only have a single gravity well generator, basically making them each 1/4th of an interdictor cruiser. I eventually scrapped the idea since I didn't think even that many would actually hold an SSD or last long enough in a fight for anything useful to happen.

It's basically a super low budget version of the cruiser. With so much power dedicated to the gravity well generator it would be much slower than a corvette during normal operation and pretty much a floating turret while active. It would certainly have weak armor and a much smaller effective radius. Kind of a worst of both worlds situation but needed in certain instances.

With such small generators they'd need to go into a kind of net formation to actually catch anything with their GWGs.

One of the best Star Wars ever made, though I was hoping for a massive B-Wing torpedo attack to the Sovereign before it exploded.
I don't judge tactics. The Battle is the best and only Judge.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I wanted to do so much more on this project but it would have gone on way too long. Best to imagine those bits happened off screen. Perhaps when I redo the audio I'll try to add something in like that.

Here is a playlist of all previous videos. This one was intentionally a sort of meeting of the squadrons and vessels from the previous four videos so some might get a kick out of seeing the pilots or Sovereign in other situations.
