I need a little help with the Andrasta

I am a modellist and now I am trying to do a fine paint job on a firespray 31 model to represent the Andrasta. I would like to paint the twilek dancer (from whom the ship is named after). Any of you opt modder has any graphic file to make me a good reference for it? Thanks!

The best reference is probably going to come from the cutscenes, as that's the most detailed. But the cutscenes themselves are kinda low res, even with the new upscaled versions, and the lighting isn't great for grabbing screen shots.

Otherwise, your best bet would probably be to go into something like XWAOptEditor so you can view the individual textures. It's not a hard process, just download it using the XWAToolsDownloader, open the SLAVEONE opt then view everything in the texture pane.

Word of warning: I'd probably look at the original TG opt if you're trying to recreate the Andrasta's paint scheme. The XWAU Andrasta isn't great, IMO, and it left off quite a few of the original texture elements while also being a bit low effort with the Twi'lek nose art.

Also bear in mind that the original TG opt is a lot more purple than the cutscene render, which comes out a lot more grey looking.

So, your best bet would be to grab jeremy's tools, and open the opt explorer. and zoom in on the appropriate part. I cant be sure who provided the original twilek on the side.

It's not an assumption at all. It's really obviously a Twi'lek on the cutscene render and even on the low res original opt.



But the XWAU opt didn't recreate it. There's not really a lot of original textures on the XWAU Andrasta FG, it's mostly just recoloured versions of the Slave One FG textures. The green woman pinup is probably just something that was sourced at the time and not created from scratch. The other prominent missing detail is the pattern at the top of the hull, with the triangles and circles.

It's whatever. The XWAU Firespray is a port from the Galaxies model, and the textures and opting were done pretty quickly and easily to get it in game. The model is solid, unlike a lot of the Galaxies ports, but I definitely think any one of the XWAU members could give it a better texture pass if they were so inclined. Not expecting it any time soon, though.

Haha, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't quietly hoping for that.

But obviously no pressure.

I think the base Slave One texture could be spruced up a bit too. It's inherited the weird yellow bars in the middle of the wing mount 'arches' that are in all the XWAU FGs and came from the original Galaxies textures. They're accurate for Jango's Slave One, but only Jango's.

Plus we could defintely go higher def now.

And if inspiration's an issue, the Firespray has a ton of custom paint schemes out there that would make great FG colours, now that we're not limited to 4.

Need promises. The biggest gripe with the pink textures is that the Andrasta is actually supposed to be Grey and a dark maroon shaded red.

I actually have a custom painted 1/270 Firespray to represent the Andrasta, looks similar to what I've shared here but can't seem to find a current photo of it anywhere and it's in storage at the moment due to lack of shelf space. I split the difference between the "official" FFG redesign, and the original pin up design. I would say having the option for either would be good.

Adding Kath and AOTC versions certainly wouldn't be a bad thing either.

I am putting effort to make a decal. It will take some time but I think I'll get the kind of texture rendering of the cutscene
Did anyone knows if any of the other Twin Suns Company craft (Vasudra, Sabra, Selu, Otana, razor starfighter escorts) has any kind of peculiar palette/skin/panoplia?
