I’m currently analyzing the campaign missions to help Mark Farlander with the Mission Update Project
(http://xwaupgrade.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12036 ) both using AlliED and the film room.
I have 2 pilots: Ace and Test. I played and recorded a mission with Ace loaded, then I completed 2 more missions with the same pilot, then I watched the recorded mission in the film room with Test (the other pilot) loaded.
After that, I reloaded Ace and I found that the outcome of that mission had been deleted as well as the following ones, and Ace pilot was rebooted to the point just before the recorded mission had been played.
In other words watching a recorded mission with a pilot different from the one who originally played it restores all of that pilot stats to the point just before that mission had been played.
I experienced this problem both with the X-Wing Alliance Update v1.5 craft pack installed and without it.
Does anybody know something more about how does the film room interact with pilot profiles?

That sounds bizarre. So you're saying your pilot file was reset by playing a recorded film from another pilot file?
I haven't been able to replicate that. Are you sure the pilot files aren't set to "Read only"?

Yes, that's exactly what happened. The pilot file was reset to the point just before the recorded mission had been played.
Full control, modify, read and execute, read, write are all allowed.

I've just tried again and got the usual result: after watching the recorded film with a different pilot, the pilot who originally played the mission gets restored to the point just before the mission had been played, as well as the cumulative score and bonus.
I found using XWA Piloteer and checking the last modified date that the pilot gets modified after the film has been played but before the pilot is loaded again.
Don't know if this might be of any help to solve this issue...

Try checking the event viewer log and see if there are any errors related to XWA. Other than that, its pretty bizarre and it doesn't happen on my end so I won't be able to find the issue.

I've been looking over the film stuff and there does seems to be an involved use of the pilot string. Can you please post your film clips as well as your pilot files?

Can you create a film with a tour mission that hasn't been completed and see if the pilot files change?

Yes, both of them get updated / modified as well.
The pilot who played the filmed mission without even completing it and the loaded pilot who watches the recorded mission in the Film Room get both modified.

Do you use GoG galaxy? If so, perhaps the cloud saves are reverting the files after a change?

I don't use GOG Galaxy.
I've tried with the disc version and I have the same problem.
