I attempted to use a pilot file editor on my pilot file and it appears I've lost the data. The editor still sees the file when I go through the editor program but when I go into the game folder in Windows it isn't there. When I run the editor as administrator it can no longer find the file. Any suggestions?
If not, is there a way to edit a new file so I don't have to start the missions over again at the beginning. I was a little over half way through a replay with all the latest upgrades and I'd rather not play them all again.
Thanks.

Hello,
The file is maybe in the VirtualStore folder.
See in "C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts"

Hi,
Thanks. I found the "lost" files where you said they would be. I moved my plt file to the X-Wing Alliance directory. When I start the game it still has a brand new pilot. Any help in getting the game to recognize my "old" pilot would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Chris

You use the launcher to select your pilot. Don't use the quickstart options until you do.
You could remove other pilots from the main folder temporarily too maybe.
Also when you get it sorted regularly copy it to a different folder as a backup.
You can go back to it years later then also

It's the standard way you would run the game if you had bought it new. It's in the main folder if you have no shortcut.Chri360936 wrote: ↑Sun May 10, 2020 3:49 pmSilly question. "Star Wars X-Wing Alliance\Install\Alliance.exe"
Second menu Pilot Options.
X-Wing Alliance (QuickStart) will skip that menu screen coming up. So you can't change pilots
