Hi guys, I'm making a new thread as I haven't spotted any on this yet. When I play the battle of Endor (GOG version), I see two Endors and two Death Stars! Is there a way to fix it? Also, Whenever I play the Battle of Endor it is disturbing not to hear the adequate soundtrack when you enter hyperspace, start the battle, and escape the Death Star tunnel… That's an issue in the vanilla version as well, but maybe you can fix it here. Thank you and sorry if it was already addressed

Yeah I've reported this bug but not had any comments on it.
If you restart your game does it happen all the time? Mine kinda fixed itself.
Make sure you have all the latest hook updates.
Also what do you mean an adequate soundtrack? What I think you need is....The Battle of Endor Update 2020!
Please see my forum area for more about this

Hello,
I can reproduce the error by doing that;
- launch the 2nd Endor mission and exit (there is no issue)
- launch the 1st Endor mission and exit
- launch the 2nd Endor mission again: the Death Star appears twice
Then I've replaced "1b7m2w.tie" with the vanilla version (make a backup first): the issue doesn't appear.
Then I've taken a look to the mission in AlliED: the backdrops for the Death Star and Moon are duplicated.
So I think that the issue comes from the mission file itself.

The missions were edited by DTM a long while ago I believe.
I'm not sure what in it could cause this bug though

Jeremy just said, they're duplicated, I don't think it's a bug

I'm looking at it and testing. I think I may leave the satellites out of my version when it's released.
I know why there were put there but I don't know if the positives outweigh the negatives.

I've had a look at it and it really needs DTM to check over. It's got a lot to do with the Super Backdrops and sizes.
If you remove the duplication then you either get no images or no light sources and everything is black.
It's not as simple as it looks really.
The way to bypass it right now would be to exit out of the game before going back into a replay probably. It doesn't happen on first go I believe.

I’m wondering if this is the same issue that causes Kothlis to be duplicated at the end of the Suprosa mission on my machine.

Battle 4, mission 4.
Whenever I play, there’s a giant Kothlis filling the lower half of the sky, and one tiny Kothlis right at the bottom of the screen.

As JJ Abrams would say: "Fixed! Now it's much better!" …

Ok I fixed the problem with the two Death Stars … using the "real" Death Star, not the Starkiller Base...
To be precise, there was not only one more Death Star, but Endor's moon was also double. It was a kind of reflection, which appears if you play Endor's second mission after playing the first one. These latest missions are specially coded, so don't ask me why it happened.
To solve the problem I had to duplicate the image of the Endor moon in a free slot of the Planet2.dat file.
So the fix will be contained in the new version of the Super Backdrop Patch which will be published shortly.
EDIT
The Kothlis mission (1b4m4) has been fixed. You will find it in the new SBP.

If your going to include the missions in Super Backdrop Patch there is no longer any need to include two sets of missions, as I'm doing away Gold Ywing option
There will only be one version of the Y-Wing with Red, Gold, Blue and Green
Sorry

Ok DS, I understand. The patch will incloud the fix only for the standard Y-Wing. I will share the fix for the Gold version separately.
Thanks!
Thanks!
