Searched the forum, but couldn't seem to find a relevant answer....
Recently 'crashed n burned' my PC and had to re-install XWA & XWAU
Squirted in a backup copy of my .cfg files, and everything seems OK.... Except, that when I go into battle the cockpit flashes vivid colours of yellow, green and red. Instruments and CMD cannot bee seen during these flashes of colour
Quest2/SteamVR
Any ideas?

Would def need more info. Im running the Quest 1 SteamVR and the performance is "OK" when there isnt much on the screen but I get severe stuttering when things get action heavy, do you have a similar experience with the Q2?

Initially, it was pants in VR; but with looking at the VR forum threads and configuring the NVIDA 'per app' settings, I got it running pretty good - just got the 'colour flashing' since re-install - I probably need to re-install again, but I'll hack it first and see what I can do

Please download the latest beta from the Downloads link. This sounds like a bug I fixed a while ago and it's related to the laser lights feature. You can also press Ctrl+D whie flying to temporarily toggle this feature.

Yeah, I know the game pretty well, but blueMaxs stuff is magic to me so I usually just have a fresh base install ready to copy and install mods over when I inevitably screw it up.

Thanks Blue, that worked fine. Though head tracking in the mission briefing and hanger is all over the place now... guess I need to read the 'Read Me' file and get hacking

Sorry about that, @Cybrnite? Is the head tracking otherwise working fine during regular flight?

No probs, I'll have a good hack with it Strange really; I've never really had any problem in the mission preview & Hanger (apart from 'screen-shake' when the hanger was loading)
I'll have a play and report back - head tracking fine during normal flight

The Concourse and Hangar both are probably capped at 25-30fps. If you're experiencing stuttering only in those areas, then it might be related to that. I'll have to take a look at that, so thanks for reporting the problem.

Had a play around, but couldn't see anything obvious, but I'm not a programmer - 30yrs ago maybe
Installed some older ddraw/Hook_CockpitLook.dll's from M0rgg but couldn't get it to fire up after that, so reinstalled yours again, and everything OK - except for the current issues...
It's liveable, but strange that I never experienced VR hanger issues in the past
Anyway - thanks for all the hard work gone into this project! Squadrons is good, but XWA still has the edge in my opinion
