I just got a geforce2mx200 64mb excalibur for christmas, I followed all the instructions, deleted the other video card's drivers, installed it properly. The video card does work, otherwise I wouldn't be able to be typing this. The problem is everything is black and white because the highest color setting available is 16colors, and I can't get the resolution to go beyond 640x480. My previous voodoo was able to goto 800x600. When I was following the instructions it said that before installing the card to convert the system display to mode to standard VGA mode. I do not know how to do this so I didn't do it, could this be the problem? If so how do I do it? If not, what could the problem be?
Please Reply

http://www.nvidia.com download the latest drivers, that sounds like what is going on.
And yes MiniCanari, there is indeed a GF2 MX200 64MB Image its basically a glorified TNT2 performance wise.

Well Otana, if Windows will let you only enter in 16 color and 640x480 it means windows actually did NOT detect the card properly.
I highly suggest getting the refernece drivers from nVidia (those are the ones I always use) and install them. If that doesn't help give me a call back. In that case it would also be helpfull what OS you are running!
------------------
Murphy was an optimist!
I am a pessimist!
Webmaster of the X-Wing Alliance Upgrade Project
