Hi Guys,
I have just recently installed XWA GOG version.
And thanks a lot for making XWAUCPv1.2.exe compatible with GOG,
I really appreciate everything that you have done to make this game better..
However, I find the cockpit with XWAUCPv1.2.exe,
then use xwahacker-gui-0.25-win to make it 1980x1080,
is stretched.
Did I do something wrong?
Or this is a bug?
Please advise

I add another screenshot.
This is before I install XWAUCPv1.2.
you can see the cockpit here is correct (not stretched)
Also, I find another bug:
after I uninstall XWAUCPv1.2, then try to start the game,
I always get "game has stopped" error.
So I have reinstall everything from the beginning.

It's me or it doesn't really look that stretched, it just look like it's closer to the windows (which is zoomed, not stretching) ?
Anyway, change all resolution to be the same, GOG actually force one choice to be the used resolution (don't remember which one thought)

It is zoomed and stretched.
GOG locks the resolution to 800x600.
but you can easily change it with xwahacker-gui-0.25.
the zoomed view can be adjusted by changing the fov,
but after applying XWAUCPv1.2.exe, it does not work.
after further observation, it seems only the cockpit which is zoomed and stretched,
the hud and all the objects outside the aircraft seem ok.
all of this does not happens before XWAUCPv1.2.exe,
so I think this is a bug.

You're comparing two different things here. XWAU includes new cockpits for all flyable ships. The first image you posted is of the XWAU designed cockpit, the second image is of the stock TG cockpit. They are different 3D models, and different textures.
There is no stretching going on here, that is just what the new cockpit looks like.

let's compare 4:3 resolution to 16:9 side by side
before applying XWAUCPv1.2.exe
4:3
800x600 16:9
1920x1080

1920x1080 it seems you are correct, there are no stretching.
but the FOV is not adjustable now.
do you know why?
is there a way to make the FOV bigger?

Talk about derailing a topic.......NarakuITA wrote:Sorry, but the GOG version, you can use the online? To play with friends?
Yes, if you can find a client for the game...and if you use mods, everyone must use the same set of mods
