With a few swift steps Vince strolled over the Command Bridge of the Warrior, climbed the stair up to the raised platform and inally, with a whirl of hs anthrazyte cloak with the crimson lining sat down in the large command chair.
He didn't have to look on the sensor displays to see Naibas' fleet right ahead of them - still unaware of their presence!
"have all ships swarm out, Code CS-739! Maintain cloaking status until all ships are in psition!" He ordered. On a screen to his left a simulation showed the maneuver he just ordered. Code CS-739, known as the Matarian Crescent was an ideal attack formation for cloaked maneuvers.
"Sir, the enemy is launching fighters!" Sensors officer Eric Wiggins reported.
"Thank You, Lieutenant. Any signs that we've been detected?"
"No, sir. Theiy're on a patroll course, 1/3 throttle in our direction."
"Very well. Let's no longer let them wait!" Vince smiled. "Decloak! Cruiser Mirage and King's Hand, launch your interceptors to distract their fighters! Empress and Unity, I want target locks for our bombers!"
Outside approximately three dozen ships decloaked in a wide crescent shaped formation around the imperial fleet. Dozens of fighters blasted out of their hangars and shot towards the enemy.
He looked down to his right. "Lieutenant Platon, charge the Fusion Cannon!"
[ 22 April 2005: Message edited by: General_Trageton ]

"Admiral! Deepscan has picked up signs of a major battle shaping up in the Adminis system! Looks like Imperial and Dhilani designs. Should we investigate?"
"We may as well. Trageton has been our ally for qhite some time now, off and on. We owe it to him to at least see what is going on. Send Cantwell and her group. Six ships plus their fighter complement should be sufficient for an expedition."
"Yes sir. Admiral Nimziki will report in when he arrives."

It's been a long time... such a very long time...
---
"General, we just received a hypercomm transmission from a patrol corvette. Two major fleets are beginning combat maneuvers in the Adminis system. One is General Trageton's, the other is unknown, but ships are Imperial in design."
"Hmm. Send Captain Morvon and the Celestia to monitor the battle. He is not to engage in battle except in self defense, and only as a last resort."
"Yes, sir."
"One more thing. Tell him I do not want a repeat of the Onyx Nebula debacle."

They're everywhere!*
...while staring at the space battle from the bridge of the Leviathan, Naibas looks at his fleet positioning with a small smile in his camalarian face... 30 seconds of silence is enought to almost kill his captain of heart. And then... the silence is broken
*Is the ISD Singularity in position?*
*Yes sir*
*Bring the Singularity out of its cloaking and launch all TIE Vampires... lets he taste his own poison...
Move the starfighter fire to their own space and make clear our cap ship are distant enought so our fire won't hit one of our own...*
Then he is interrupted...
*SIR!! "Sir, sensors detect a group of new signals. Vampires!"
Vince rose a brow. "Dhilani Vampires?"
"No, sir. TIE Vampires. They were a cooperation product of ShiCon Dynamics and SFS, before ShiCon moved on to the Piranha. Production was stopped, for the Vampire's stealth plating was too costly."
"Are they a problem?"
"Not for us, Sir, but the older ships in the fleet - Patriots and Victory Mk2s might have trouble detecting them."
"I see. Flight controll, have the VF2s disregard fighter sweep and concentrate on capship distraction. Warhammer, launch two squadrons of piranhas to deal with those Vampires. Phantom and Shadow Squadron are to remain alert and ready to launch!"
"Fusion Cannon fully charged, Sir! Awaiting orders!" Lt. Harry Platon reported.
"Thank you, Platon. Hold your fire! let's not waste this energy."
"Aye, Sir." Vince smiled. Harry Platon had never really gotten used to hold fire. The man was a pyromaniac. Captain Evans was commanding the ship from the bridge, but the Rear Admiral had always preferred it down here. Closer to the action perhaps. The fleet had arrived in orbit of the fifth planet of the Adminis system, and moving towards the battle taking place around the fourth. Checkmate and the Decimators were deployed and fully activated, pumping massive amounts of scanner and jammer energy into the system. On the trio of star destroyers, which were a mix of the block III and IV variants, meaning they were the more recent versions which included not only flak guns and beam arrays, but subspace drives. The Raptor even had the new wave motion guns replacing the traditional turret mounts. They had been proven to do hideous amounts of damage, though their refire rate was rather slow. The fleet spread out into the typical defensive array, with the Decimators hiding under the guns of the larger ships. "Lets get the fighter screen up, and have interceptors on alert five. I don't want to be caught off guard." At Nimzikis order, the primary defense wing of the fleet, Shrike group, launched. The 72 Tie Avengers quickly began combat air patrol around the fleet. Meanwhile the main hangar doors on the Gambier Bay slid open, ready to launch Spearhead group. "Lets see how this plays out, shall we?"

OOC: What ship exactly do you mean?
- You know, Vince is no Dhilani, neither is he using much of the Dhilani military(except a few fighters, shields and weapons, and a Dhilani Captain commanding one of his cruisers.)

A dark shape moved silently across the bridge. Like a shadow it floated up the stairs and approached Vince, who was stdying the tactical displays.
"What's our status?" a soft female voice beneath the dark hood asked.
"Small skirmishes on our frontlines. The major capital ships are still remaining in the background. Two more fleets have entered the system - old friends and allies. They're maintaining observer positions. Looks like they're anticipating a nice big show."
"I suppose." Empress Shiromy said. "In these times neutrality is a precious gift."
Then her voice lowered. "So they have a Sith Lord" she said and her voice became cold. "He will come to us."
"I know." Vince replied. "I felt his presence, when they entered the system." "I didn't think there were any leftovers from this ancient religion."
Sith, Jedi ... whatever one might call them. still clinging to this feeble imagination of the 'Force'. Too fragile was their order, too vulnerable their system. Their stubborn fixation to their antiquated morals and ideals - black or white. No flexibility.
Since the devastating battle against the Stumbos Alliance five years ago Shiromy had been training manically. Not only the ways of the Cha'Lynh - since the Battle of Reylan she had begun learning the ways of the Ydaa-priestesses and the arts of war of any other culture they had encountered. She had become a true mastress of combat - beyond any classes.
Shiromy raised her head and tucked her hood. Her hand raised and pointed towards an empty area in space. "There."
A few moments later space flickered, where Shiromy had pointed, and a ghost-like shape of a Star Destroyer became visible.
Vince shrugged. Cloaking devices. Nifty little gadgetries rather than tactical advantages. "Very well. If he will come to us, so be it."

"Sir, we are starting to pick up cloaked vessels on the sensors!"
"Major?" Nimziki questioned.
The sensor officer nodded. "We are putting out so much energy that we can pick up cloaked craft where their cloaking fields absorb or deflect it. It forms a hole that we can see. Normally doesn't happen, but we have a lot of EW going at once."
"All right. Launch one squadron from Hammer group and have them start approaching the cloaked ships. Just enough to let them know we see them. But stay safe, and if any enemy fighters appraoch, get the Swordfish out there to protect them.

OOC: Main rule is just play fair. That's about all you need to consider :D
IC: "Sir! We are picking up a lot of new ships! Familiar ones too. Independance II, Celestra, Warrior..."
Nimziki coughed. "General Flax and Captain Morvan? We haven't heard from them in nearly a year. And if Celestra is here, the Shadowkeeper may show up soon." He glanced at the secure printer on the arm of his chair in CIC. The message was short. 'Celestra to Cantwell. Will not engage unless threatened. Please acknowledge. the Admiral keyed in a quick reply to Morvan. 'Will not engage Celestra group. Please stay clear fire lanes, however. If accident, no apologies. Be aware, cloaked enemy ships. Cantwell.' He looked up at the display. His task force, while it had the most powerful single ship in system, was badly outnumbered by the other fleets. The Cantwell would also be a major target for any enemies, mainly because of the superlaser and heavy beam mounts it sported. While the smaller destroyers carried beam cannons as well, they lacked the full strength of the dreadnaught. The ship rocked in that moment, and the strident tones of a gravity field alarm sounded. Someone had activated an interdictor. A big one. This game was for keeps.
Admiral Nimziki keyed the ship's comm. "All hands, this is the Admiral. We are in an unknown situation, and appear to be outnumbered, though we do not know where the other fleets allegiences lie. I can tell you this. Should we be attacked, we will respond fully. This ship has served valiantly for three years and dozens of major battles thus far. And while it has changed from the standard soverign class dreadnaught over the years, it is still one of the three symbols of the Corellian Navy. The enemy has activated an interdictor field to prevent us from leaving at will. That will not stop stop us should we be determined. But if it comes down to it, we will FIGHT! That is all." As the cheering of the bridge crew died down, he nodded to the comm officer. "Get word to fleet HQ, appraise them of our situation. and get me a line to the Warrior"

Prepare for Code Omega!"
Vince watched, as the two enourmous star destroyers - designs they had adoped from previous battles with imperial forces. moved in position below and above the Warrior, while the smaller ships maneuverd to here side. Dominance and Warhammer had rarely seen combat therefore were rather unfamiliar to most opponents.
As the enemy star destroyers approached the group and came in firing range, the three UPMF battleships' weapon phalanxes awoke to life and ounded a thunderstorm of crimson Dhilani energy Cannon fire onto the destroyers' shields. Soon the shields buckled and fell and the heavy energy barrage tore two of them apart. The third took several deadly hits to her command tower and started drifting, pulle into the near planet's gravity.
For a moment Vince froze - he sensed a sourge of power approaching the Warrior. Hitting a button on his wrist comm he said "He's coming."
"I'll be fine!" Shiromy#s voice replied.
OOC: Current situation (I left out the smaller ships):
Image
IC:
"Wiggins, Open a comm channel to the Leviathan!"
"Flagship Leviathan, this is Supreme Commander Vince Trageton from the Unitedd Planets Military Forces." He waited for a moment. "Lord Peragon!" Another pause. "You are outnumbered and outgunned. And your precious force will not help you here. There is no point in continuing this battle. If you should still insist in battling my forces I will wipe you from the face of this galaxy."
While he waited for a response he switched to a fleet-intern channel. "All ships, prepare for code Omega!"

I still don't know what I can and what I can't do... I'll try to keep along...
----------------------------------
... Naibas waited until the ships get into firing range... With all faces looking at him trembling...
*Now!*
The long time without shooting took the fighters outguarded... and most of the enemy fighter screen were wiped out quickly...
Seconds later the fleet sweept into 2 groups flying above and bellow concentrating the fire in every ship in their way... Without a proper fighter screen this was no big problem...
At the same time hundreds of GUNs, T/B and MIS escorted by T/As, T/Is and some tectical fighters started bombarding the Warhammer from its top supported by the approaching SDs. Showing why they're under GA Naibas even outnumbered by 3 to one, Monpejier and de Georgio leading the attack at the Warhammer quickly took the fight one-to-one once again. Clearing the way for the heavy bomb attack lauched all at once, none shot before, none shot later. Before they could undestand why the bomber weren't firing the shields droped from 100% to 0%...
*Sir...*
*Not yet, let's wait for Garth*
*Captain... Tells this Commander the take his ships out of combat or he will not see the light of another day*
---
As Darth Garth approached the Warrior, the Crusader started striking it's mag. pulses into the Warrior, leaving it without defence for the time he needed... Fastly his accolytes took the primary defence guards and systems out of the hangar bay... Seconds later with the power restored he watches the 4 T/Ds heading for the Singularity safely...
"Stay protecting my ship immortal brother"
The accolities assumed their just gained power of "the ghost".
The alarm took his attention again, he rushed to a control pad and quickly hacked into the system finding the generator of the super weapon and headed towards it... After the first door a row of heavilly armed guards were waiting for him...
He smilled and walked slowly towards the guards and when the first one shot...
...As in a slow motion Garth looks the blasters fires slowly comming to his direction... The human eyes could not even see Garth's moving... The second later Garth used "The Ghost" and turned off his lightsaber. As he walk down the hallway he heared the sound of the corpses falling...
Since he completed his training with Marravenu, he's powers grew to a dimension close to that of the his Demi-god Master Marravenu. And he smiles to himself... Shiromy watched Garth, as he entered the large chamber.
"I've been expecting you, sithlord." she said slowly and walked a few steps towards him.
The dark figure raised his head and smiled. An evilish - yet patheicly selfcnofident grin. He ignitd his lightsaber. Shiromy let her arms lushly hang down on her sides and made a subtle invitating gesture. With incredible speed - invisible to human eyes - the creature leaped forward and slashed through her throat. At least, where her throat would've been, had she been there.
"Impressive speed" she said and walked past from behind him. "But you have yet much to learn."
Without warning the sithlord ashed for her again, cutting through air once again. "You have the will. The speed. The force."
A few more strokes by the sithlord failed their aim, when Shiromy finally re-appeared behind him. in a quick movement she thrusted her flat palm into his back and slammed him straight acros the wide chamber into th oppsite wall, where he collapsed. Shiromy remained unmoving. A bit uneasy he rose to his feet again, his eyes wild with anger. He rose his hands and from his fingertips a thunderstorm of blue lightning shot towards her. With an explosion of fury the devouring bolts hit her body grabbing for her.
Shiromy remained unmoving. She felt the energy flow over her - through her. Like a warm well it surrounded her. she bathed energy literally sucking it in. She intensified her grip. Wave after wave the deadly energy traveled from him to her and fueled her strength. The sithlord tried to stop his attack - realizing it was futile. Invain. With each passing moment shiromy sucked in more of this energy - brutally ripping it out of him.
Then the thunderstorm died out. Weakened and exhausted the sithlord dropped to the floor.
She walked up to him and picked him up. Holding him at his throat she raised him into the air. "You lost a lot of energy with this attack." she said softly. "I'll give it you back!"
The wild rage in the sithlord's eyes was gone. There was only horror left. Shiromy softly laid here left hand onto his chest. And she gave the energy back to him. Released in a single blast it tore him apart vaporizing every single cell in his body.
Shiromy was alone - safe the Sithlord's henchmen in the near hangar bay. Concentrating she could feel the energy floating through the hangar. Reaching out she could form the energy to her will. One with the ship she idly strolled into the hangar bay - towards the henchmen.

OOC: It's been a while since the last one, hasn't it? :)
IC: Garren Draco stood idly in his shuttle's rather large recreational room. He had cleared it completely of all furniture except for a table and two chairs over in a corner, and a small holographic/force-field projector just next to them. On the table were various weapons; some very up-to-date with the day's standards of weapons: high powered energy rifles, several blaster pistols, etc. He also had some rather archaic weapons, such as a lightsaber his Jedi friend had given to him as a gift; you meet a lot of people when you travel the galaxy.
And then there was the most ancient of them all: a katana he'd taken from Earth during his escapade against (OOC: What was OPT's villain's name?) with Trageton. Back when his TIE Vortex design was his fighter of choice. Back when he'd believed he could handle it all, take on the galaxy.
Back before his friend Keiran had died.
Now he was pensive, off in his own world most of the time. He had lost much of what he lived for; Keiran was like a brother to him. They'd designed the Vortex together. Now, it was too painful to even look at one.
In fact, Garren was not the only mourner for Keiran. Still, out of an entire galaxy, two people are not much. Keiran's younger sister, Kira, was his only other friend. Not of much worth, indeed.
And yet, even in Keiran's death there was happiness. The two mourners had found love together, and were wed one year to the day after Keiran had died. It was only with Kira that Garren had happiness anymore.
That, and engaging in duels just as Keiran and he had used to.
Garren raised his katana with a brief nod to his computer-generated opponent. It was a man, rather short, actually, with long red hair and a cross-shaped scar on his left cheek. On Earth, he was a legend to the nation that gave birth to the katana: Hitokiri Battousai. (OOC: Sorry, I need to entertain myself, too!) He was supposed to be the greatest swordsman to have ever existed, wielding the Hiten Mitsurugi style of swords. Garren was about to see about that.
The first thing Battousai did was lunge. His sword was drawn and held in his right hand. He began a slash, rather slow, Garren thought, which suddenly was frozen and disappeared, along with the warrior himself. Garren paused, surprised, then looked up at the monitor to see Kira's smiling face.
"I'm sorry to cut your duel short, but we're about to leave hyperspace. I thought you might want to be the one to take her in."
Garren smirked. "Of course." He sheathed his katana; he carried it everywhere with him. He turned off the holoprojector and turned toward the cockpit. He felt a sudden deceleration, then a massive impact. He heard Kira curse from the cockpit. He decided to cut the leisurely pace and ran.
"What's going on?!"
"We were pulled out of hyperspace prematurely; there's an Interdictor about fifty meters off our bow. It must have just fired up its gravity wells!"
Garren jumped into the pilot's seat; Kira was already in the copilot's chair. He grabbed the yoke and tore it to port. He figured the distant battle was much safer than the closer warship. There he was almost hit by a new ship, exiting hyperspace, it seemed, by its own will, not that of the Interdictor's. It was massive, easily the length of three or four ISDs. Not nearly as massive as an Executor class, but big nonetheless. It had four of the new grav-sensors on its keel; it knew whether it was an Interdictor or a planet exerting the gravatic force, and it had stopped anyway. I wonder why...
Then he read its name on his sensor screen after veering away. Black Wraith.
Keiran's killer.
The ship immediately launched fighters that homed in on Garren's ship. TIE Interceptors, TIE Fighters, and one fighter that filled Garren with both fear and rage: a TIE Vortex. Not just any Vortex, however. It was Keiran's personal fighter, with his insignia painted on its flowing solar panels.
Garren immediately swung back to starboard and dove. "Kick in the afterburners!!!!" he screamed. Kira was almost ahead of him; they were engaged by the word "in".
"Scan for any friendlies; we're gonna need help! Any ship!"
Kira began scanning for that "any ship", and found it in the distant battle. "Trageton's Warrior!"
"Give me a line!" Garren waited just long enough for Kira to punch two buttons on her panel before screaming, "Mayday, mayday, this is Garren Draco on board the shuttle Remembrance! Commander Trageton, please, we need your help!"
Then he could speak no more, for evading the enemy fighters was all he could do. He couldn't lose his wife, too. Not after he lost her brother.

Niles shook his head at the lightning-fast escalation of the battle. The UPMF fleet and the unknown fleet were going at it with a ferocity not seen in a long time. He turned his head slightly so he could see the comm officer. "Comm, send a message to Valkyrie Base. The battle is quickly escalating and allies may require assistance."
"Sir, a new fleet has entered the system! IFF tentatively identifies as New Republic, Second Fleet. Last intel reports indicate that a General Taklin Flax was in command, flagship Independance II."
"Very well, Comm, forward that information onto Valkyrie Base as well," he said, and turned back to the system display. "Lieutenant Deren, move us into position above the fifth planet."
---
General Edor Crespin entered the bridge of the Shadowkeeper. "Admiral, report on the Celestia's situation!"
"General. We just received a message from the Celestia. As of the last message, the Cantwell has acknowledged our presence, no response from the UPMF. A New Republic fleet has also entered the system and is deploying, unknown if they've detected the Celestia. The battle is intense and escalating quickly. He implies that our assistance may be required soon, but we have no official communications from any other factions in the system," Iskariz answered quickly, coming over to stand in front of Edor.
"Send a message back. Have him notify the Corellian Empire and the UPMF that if they require our assistance, we will come," Edor said after a few seconds' thought. He walked to the command chair and sat in it, then rotated it so it was facing the Admiral again. "Bring the fleet to defense condition two. If they want our help, we will be able to leave immediately."
---
"Message from Valkyrie Base, Captain. General Crespin wants us to notify Admiral Nimziki and Supreme Commander Trageton that if our assistance is required, the fleet will come," the comm officer sent the message to Niles' datapad for him to review.
"Very well. Send this message to them: 'Admiral Nimziki, Supreme Commander Trageton: I have been authorized to offer assistance in the battle. General Crespin is willing to bring the fleet to the system if needed. Please respond.' Lieutenant Chien, launch all squadrons except Thundercloud and have them assume defensive globe position."

The smile on Vince#s face had vanished. "Sr, we've lost contact with Raven, Kyaara and Grinder. Carona and Diamit report heavy damage!"
"Tell them to pull back and take position behind the Warhammer!"
"General, we're getting multiple hailings from several parties!" wiggins reported.
"Patch them through! We might use some allies here."
Listening to the radio messages Vince's eyes widened. Memories from his past flashed through his mind. Flax! Draco!
"Garren, can you hear me?" No response.
"The shuttle's under heavy fighter attack. They won't hold out much longer."
"Send Phoenix Wing to escort them and Harrier to hold of the fighters!"
A close look on the sensors display....
"Independance II, this is Trageton! Warrior and Dominance are fine for now, but Warhammer has lost her shields and our perimeter groups are loosing ground and need assistance. Also, there's a friendly shuttle near your position under heavy enemy fire We sent out fighters for protection, but I fear they won't get there in time. If you can, please provide cover and maybe a safe harbour for the Rememberance!"
"Understood, Warrior. We're sending out escorts!" Vince slightly smiled, when he heard the familiar voice.
"Thank you, old friend!"
Vince looked at the tactical screen again. Time to even the odds and give a little room to the strike groups.
"Dominance, Warhammer, report in!"
"This is Dominance! We're in position and have clear targets!"
"Warhammer here! All clear. Targets aquired weapons ready!"
"Understood!" Vince paused for a moment. "Engage Code Omega!"
Moments later the surface on the two star destroyers seemed to crawl, when several hundred primary weapon implacements were rotated into a very speciffit position.OOC: (sorry, OPT, I guess I just stole a part of that formulation from you :D). Then the chain reaction known as Code omega began. Beginning at the very back each heavy Dhilani energy turret fired onto a special collector device of the next forth one - continuously increasing the firepower with each hot that went wandered towards the ships' bows.
When the controlled chain reaction reached the last of the heavy turrets there was a flash and three thick white beams - two from the Dominance's two thorns, one from the Warhammer - splitted space and tore through the enemy formations. The first beam - from the Warhammer - thundered onto the shield of one of the Leviathans. For a moment the shield held but soon fell under the energy which was equal to two full broadsides by the Warhammer. The Beam pierced through the shields and tore apart the main reactor, which detonated in a brilliant nuclear explosion.
The Dominance's two beams found their targets in two ISDs. By far weaker than the Leviathan. They didn't hold half the time and were ripped apart by the two double broadside beams.
Surprised by the sudden explosions - and the resulting rain of heavy starship debris forced the remaining ships that were close to the poor victims to divert their fire to not get hit by the floating ISD chunks.
While the wounded UPMF Cruisers quickly withdrew from the battlefield, the rest of the fleet quickly took the advantage to ove between the enemy ships and continue their bombardment. A Victory SD, weakened by the impact of an ISD-chunk went down under the relentless barrage of Unity and Ion Storm.
"Sir?" asked Lieutenant Platon, gunnery officer of the Warrior - anxious and mipatient.
"Not yet, Harry!"
Image

Silently, amidst the battle, a small yellow-hued probe flitted about, small lights blinking like curious eyes.
The topside of the little probe opened, and out swung a small antenna. Moments later, onboard the bridge of every single ship in the vicinity, there came that echoing, ominous sound:
PING!
The probe continued pinging the ships for some moments, until it had assured itself of their sizes, locations, and numbers. The probe then rippled and vanished as its cloak, of a make far more advanced than any of the others present, came online.
Those who'd been in contact with the United Worlds would know the frequency of that pinging very well.

Nimziki groaned at the cacophany of voices assaulting him. Waving his hands, he started pointing at people. "Detach a squadron from Spearhead group. Tell them to proceed to Draco's location at maximum sustainable speed and take up an escort." He waved to the ECM chief. "Jamm all out-system communications. All of them. And tell Fleet Command what is going on. More old friends are likely to join in." Next was the air group commander. "Get Lightning wing out there on BARCAP." "Helm. flank speed towards the Warrior. Stay close to our known allies for safety." The fleet picked up speed and left the fifth planet, headed for the firefight.
