"Need some help, sir?"
Gyttel looked up, and saw the green flecked helmet of sqaud sniper Telum, who had remained at the observation point.
"What do you think?" Gyttel replied humourlessly. The debris covering him was not overly heavy, and with some help from Telum, it was not long before Gyttel was on his feet, armour covered in thick brown dust.
By the time the rest of the squad were recovered, and Strill had been pulled out to the Proditus, Gyttel had resigned himself to the fact that his first mission back in armour had been an outright failure; it was a bleak thought for a man to whome pessimism already came easily. The anger he had initially felt, as he lay buried under a crumbling section of wall had been replaced by a thourough sense of disappointment, mixed with a sense of guilt had what had happened to Strill. All that time behind a desk had evidently made him soft.
But in that thought, he found new resolution. He would not let this failure put him back behind the hated desk, this failure would be rectified. Pursuit may be out of the question, but he had other resources.
"What went wrong?" he asked his squad simply
The answer came almost immediately,
"The Jedi." Pike muttered, a trace of disgust in his voice.
"Whatever those people were, they weren't Jedi," Telum added, "I recognised one." Gyttel looked up at Telum, and nodded for him to continue. "When you were wounded, sir, I was the one sent to pick you up from the mercs that rescued you. Today, there were two sentries on the upper level, I had to take them out to stop the mission being compromised, and one of them was definitely there when I recovered you. I never forget a face. And that means that the guy with the lightsaber was.."
"Mako!" Gyttel interjected in surprise, "and I always thought I'd never get a chance to meet their fabled leader, he's quite the enigma, in all my time in Intelligence, I never heard more than scant whispers and rumours about him, I wasn't even sure he existed. The most persistent rumour though was definitely wherever Mako is, trouble follows. I need to relay this to the Admiral."
****
Pitto frowned as he read the data stream, but a decision came quickly.
"Order Gyttel to follow the trail as best as he can, have Eagle-Eye One pull up sat images of the operation and help them track the fugitives, but keep them engaging the rebel fighters.
Comm, set up a global broadcast channel, Admiral Phaley has a hand in this, or someone in her organisation at least, I need to make contact.
Have our Intelligence personnel look into one "sword-wielding mercenary", rough physical description in the latest data stream, that might just be an important lead."
As Pitto strode over to the communications station, thje officer flicked the final switch, and the array was ready to broadcast.
"You're on sir."
"This is Admiral Pitto of the Imperial Vengeance-class battlecruiser Proditus, I request an audience with anyone in the system who is familiar with the person or persons Admiral Phaley and pilot Mryna Qhalic, to discuss historical agreements and present objectives."

The fleet? Things were getting more interesting every minute. The Empress surely was interested in this. She needed to get to her ship.
"I guess you should be safe here for the time being." She said towards Mako and Roscha. "I need to report to HQ about recent developments."
"Watch yourself!" Mako said. "Those Commandos are still around there somewhere."
"I will." Mryna said - checking her twin-blasters for what seemed the hundredth time. "I'll be back in 40 minutes. You can reach me via comm or ..." turning to Roscha she added: "whatever means of secure communication you fancy." Roscha nodded with a smirk. We'll be in touch. Mryna heard a whisper in her head.
Pressing a hidden button on her clothing, her crimson coat and jet black jumpsuit suddenly changed colors and toned into a dirty looking dark grey, as she faded into the dark alleys of Nar Shaddaa.
It took her about 15 minutes to get from the hangar bay to where she had put down the Black Scorpion. All in all, the way had been clear - the few stormtroopers she had encountered had witnessed her as a scruffy looking, slightly primed stray cat.
Finally she reached the abandoned yard, where she had put down her ship. She keyed some commands into her wrist console and with a pale flickering the Black Scorpion decloaked before her. With a few swift steps she hurried up the ramp and entered the cockpit.
"Freeze!" she heard a calm voice and then felt the cold barrel of blaster rifle pressing onto her right temple.
Stay where you are, I can handle this! she called out to Roscha.
"It's been a while, Miss Qhalic." said another voice. Despite the comm distortion she recognized the Commando's voice: Gyttel.

Unfreakin believable… Andrew thought to himself… the cantina was extremely crowded, Canthas kept close to Allora while Andrew led the 3 of them. A dunken guy grabbed at Allora’s butt causing Canthas to punch him in the face. Andrew kept walking determined to find Jack. Canthas looked back up and didn’t see Andrew. He looked back at Allora and she was gone too. The music in the cantina was too loud and Canthas couldn’t call out for Andrew or Allora.
“HELP!” he heard someone whisper. The sound came from behind. He turned quickly to find a whole squad a stormtroopers aiming their guns at Canthas. And if it wasn’t worse already he could feel a gun in his back.
“Freeze rebel scum!”
---------------
By this point Andrew managed to sneak into the private area of the bar. The walls were more decorated and he could tell the people were rich by their clothes. Andrew turned around to give a signal to Canthas and Allora but found no one there.
“And who the hell are you?” A tall man was standing infront of Andrew. Andrew sure felt out of place wearing a brown coat and looking extremely scruffy.
“How the hell do you not know who I am? Don’t make me call security on you!”
The man didn’t move.
“That’s it!” Andrew pretended to get a communicator and rammed his body into the man. He managed to wrestle him into a near by room and knock him unconscious. The room was empty… perfect. Andrew checked the new armor, everything was working great, it gave him that extra boost of strength during the fight. Andrew seached the man for an I.D. and found out that he was the owner of the cantina. Lok Var was his name… too bad. Andrew was worried now, where were Allora and Canthas? Why hadn’t Allora called him? Andrew checked his gun the safety was now off.
-----------
The battle got more intense; Fighters on both sides were dropping like flies. Kex started to get aggravated. “Gray Squad what is your status?”
“We are closing in on the engines, and launching our missiles now!” The impact wasn’t as good as she hoped for but they were able to disable 2 of the smaller engines.
“Gold squad what is your status?”
“Ma’am I don’t think our attack is doing any thing to their shields they are still holding up against our attacks!” Not Good she though
“Even if we do manage to disable their engines we still have to worry about those bombers… our shields are out we are just barley hanging on here…”
With an instant hope emerged… The corellian corvette known as “The Falcon” emerged from hyperspace with several squads of X-Wings, A-Wings, and B-Wings.
“eeeyyyy!!!! Commander Kex we saw that you were in trouble the cavalry has arrived!”
Kex was extremely relived by the sight. The Falcon stayed close to the VSD to add firepower and the new fighters went into battle outnumbering the Imperial fighters.
---------
Andrew kept walking around ignoring the dirty looks keeping his weapon hidden. A hard whack came to the back of his head.
When Andrew came too he was sitting in an office. 2 Imperial stormtroopers stood at the door guarding it. Andrew was bolted to the chair. To the left of him was Canthas and to the right was Allora and next to her was Jack but he wasn’t moving. There was a desk in front of him but the chair was empty. He heard heavy footsteps walking to the door. This was it the moment of truth who managed to catch up to him. The door opened and a large man with silver hair was standing in the doorway. BILL! “Mother…” Andrew was now pissed.
“Well heh we meet again Andrew. Like my new leg? Courtesy of your friend.” Andrew noticed the robotic leg. Bill’s arms seemed larger, had he been working out? Not good he was hard enough to deal with. “Now then lets get down to business shall we?”

Skray held on to his chair as the Culler shook from the explosion of two of the smaller engines. This battle was going on much longer than was expected, and he was not happy about it. "These fools don't realize when they've been beaten." He directed toward Ilion who had been standing next to his chair the last few moments. "What's the status of our fighters?"
"The bombers have all returned, The Cyclones and Gunships have taken casualties, and the Defenders are unscathed." Ilion commented from memory. "We've also managed to disable over half of the their fighter component."
"At least something is going better than expected."
"Sir why may I ask are we going through all this trouble?"
Skray sighed, "I'm trying to give these republic fools a chance to save themselves, and I'm trying to keep the bloodshed to a minimum."
"I don't think that the Rebels are sharing your sentiment."
"No it would seem not." Skray grimaced.
"Sir!" called the Comms station, "We've just gotten confirmation the pirate Mako is on the moon's surface."
"Good send down a detachment of Defenders to retrieve him."
"Sir! We've got incoming." Announced the officer at the sensors. " Multiple ships, several fighters along with one Corellian Corvette."
"You've got to be joking Sending a corvette to help against an ISDII, a Vengeance Battle cruiser and a Lancer? Pathetic. Turn the ship toward the VSD and blind fire all mag and ion pulse missles at them. perhaps then they'll get the Idea"
"Yes Sir" Ilion nodded as he saw that the orders were carried out.
-----------
"A fleet he says. I wonder if this is gonna cost me extra?" Mako mused to himself "Well I have to admit you do have one thing correct we need to get off this rock."
"And what of the others?" Roscha asked
"Canthas is with Andrew, he'll be fine. Though I'd be more worried about Andrew. Wolf and Xandra? Asking about them is like asking about us."
"Good point." Roscha mumbled to herself. "So 'Mr. Adventure Switch' what's the plan?"
"We get back to the Gopher first, I'll figure out the rest after that."
"You do realize that there are Stormtroopers blocking the way." Ferris stated with a smile.
"That my dear hasn't stopped me yet."

Sara listened to the broadcasted message from Admiral Pitto.
"Looks like you made yourself a name." The Empress commented with mild amusement. With a smirk she nodded towards the spacey command chair. "Make yourself at home - it's showtime!"
Shaking her head Sara took place in the command chair and signaled the comm chief to open the channel. A few moments later the flickering hologram of a slightly aged Admiral Pitto lit up before her.
"Admiral Phaley" the man said in mild suprise.
"Spreme Commander Phaley, that would be." Sara corrected him in a slightly elevated tone. "It's been a while, Admiral Pitto."
"Indeed." The man acknowledged humourlessly. It was amusing to see the annoyance of an imperial officer confronted with someone behaving even more lofty than himself.
"I won't even bother asking, why your fighters attacked my forces, since it seems there are more pressing issues at hand."
Sara folded her hands and gave him a questioning look. "And that would be?"
"Your connections to the organized crime."
Sara's eyes narrowed to slits. "Under other circumstances I would taken these weak accusations as an insult and penalize accordingly."
"Don't act so innocent, Supreme Commander." Pitto said sharply. "I know from reliable sources that you and your agents had contact with a certain individual named Mako Starcrusher, who is wanted throughout the Empire."
"Be he whatever you wand," Sara cut him off solemnly, "he is yet a citizen of the ESS and as such subject to ESS jurisdiction. If you hold any charges against him, you may bring them before ESS high court and they will decide."
"I fear it is not as simple as you'd like it, Supreme Commander." Pitto snarled. "Nar Shaddaa is under imperial control. Any crime conducted on imperial territory is subject to imperial law." A sinister smile spreadened on his weathered face.
"We found members of his group with one of your agents in an act of conspiracy against the Empire. Unfortunately the suspects were able to escape our law enforcement team. That makes them guilty by imperial law."
Sara had trouble keeping her lofty role up. This man was starting to annoy her. He had his fingers far too deep in their matters than he was supposed to.
"Be careful, Admiral. You're moving on thin ice. Any actions against members of the ESS could be interpreted as an agressive act against the ESS themselves."
Before the man could answer, something offscreen seemed to catch his attention and he turned away for a moment. Sara used the short pause to exchange a glanc with the Empress. It was times like these where she wondered if this Mako really was worth all the trouble. But before she could continue her ponderings, Pitto was back.
"I was just informed that our forces apprehended one of your agents on the planet, a pilot named Mryna Qhalic." Sara bit her teeth but managed to main calm. To her side she noticed the Empress wordlessly giving some commands towards numerous bridge crewmen - navigation, tactical, communication, flight control.
"We have apprehended her returning to her ship."
"You have no right in holding her." Sara protested formally.
"Oh, we do. Suspected conspiracy against the empire, disorderly conduct, bodily harm and even homicide - the list of charges is impressive." She's awaiting departure to the next imperial security bureau."
It was then that the bridge lighting turned from the usual moderate blue into a dark cyan. Sara leaned back and her face turned as cold and dark as space itself.
"You are conducting an aggressive act against the ESS, Admiral Pitto. Bear the consequences!"
Moments later space to their right lit up as the Predator and an escort of two Inferno II-cruisers entered space and moved in formation between the ISDII and the battered VSD. At once all three ships opened fire on the Proditus and hammered her shields down to a critical minimum giving the Republic's bombers a chance to attack the Star Destroyers hull and systems directly.
A hint of shock showed up in the Admiral's expression. "Well I suppose this alliance is at an end then." The hologram dissolved.
"Decloak and prepare for battle." Sara ordered. Things were less amusing now.
[ 02 June 2007: Message edited by: General_Trageton ]

Admiral Skray figured he had this battle won; things were in his favor a Corvette was no match for him. The signal light started to flash.
“Sir we are receiving a message!”
“Put it through.” At that instant the main screen was filled with a man’s face with silver hair. He had a scar on his right eye and his face was slightly aged and unshaven, what made him look worse was the fact that he was grinning ear to ear.
“Ahh Admiral Skray I believe we have come to a pass. You have something I want I believe I have something you want.”
“Bill Anderson, what a pleasant surpise, its been a while. I’m sorry to say now is not a good time im in the middle of a battle.”
“That is my point, that ship you are fighting is a VSDII with Republic markings is it not?”
“It is”
“That is my ship. I can assume that it is also accompinied by a heavly modified Corellian Corvette.”
“It is”
“Admiral I want those ships, do not underestimate that Corvette it is more powerful than it looks… I am willing to pay a great price for them; I have here something you might want.” The camera moved to show 4 people tied down to a chair. The admiral was shocked how did Bill manage to pull this one off. But the good news came to an end.
“Sir new enemy ships in the sector!” The entire bridge shook.
“Bill this isn’t over ill get back to you in a couple of minutes for the exchange.”
“Take your time Admiral, I’ll be waiting.” The screen dissolved with Bill’s grinning image.
-----------------
Bill turned his screen off and turned to the 4 sitting in their chairs. Andrew kept trying to signal Allora to break free and get them out of here. Allora felt so weak… so drained she could barley move.
“What’s the matter cutie? Got no force powers?” Bill got up and reviled a Ysalamiri under his desk. “Don’t worry you wont feel a thing.” Bill smacked Allora and walked back to his desk laughing. Andrew was ready to kill that man.

This was getting out of hand. What had started out as a simple grab or destroy mission had turned into an all out War. Skray looked at the newly arrived ships and frowned. It looked as if he had finally got himself into a situation that he couldn't think himself out of. "Ilion, contact Pitto and Eagle Eye One and tell them to call on what ever reinforcements that they can. We're going to need them if we're to survive this day."
"Yes Sir." Ilion nodded. "And about our forces?"
"Skra sighed. "Even if we did pull the Others from their search areas it would take too long for them to get here to be of any good."
"Then I would suppose it's a good thing that I contacted them when we first got news of Mako being on this planet."
Then as if on que six more ISDIIs, 3 Nebulon B frigates and 2 corellian gunships jumped in system.
"What!" Skray yelled in surprise. Then he laughed "ILion you'll make one hell of an Admirl one day. Good job! Now let's see what we can do about getting Bill his Ships."
-------------
Wolf and Xandra had spent the better part of the night tracking down the whereabouts of Andrew's companion Drax. Finally they had tracked both him and his NRI captors to an old warehouse on the lower sector of the moon. Getting him out would prove to be a challenge at best especially since republic forces were off the kill list. Moving like shadows they made their way inside.
[ 02 June 2007: Message edited by: Mako ]

As the first salvo rocked the ship, Pitto's mouth was agape in shock,
"WHAT THE HELL?" he yelled, rather unprofessionally.
"Sir, vessel just decloaked and opened fire, we're under attack from several newcomers, newly arrived Imperial task force is moving to assist, as is Eagle-Eye One."
"Why?"
"Uh, sir, we have a fairly significant problem here." Came a worried voice from the comm pit. Pitto rolled his eyes,
"So tell me something I don't know."
"I don't have control of our communication systems, I just sliced the system and gained access to the logs, appparently we just effectively declared war on something called the ESS during a conversation with a "Supreme Commander" Phaley, as well as ordering the commando team to return with what they claim is a prisoner."
Pitto stood motionless for a brief moment, utterly at a loss for what to do. He was violently awoken when he was thrown to the floor as the bridge shook.
With sudden clarity, he began a barrage of orders
"Divert all available power to shields, open fire but DO NOT inflict damage, try and lower their shields but no further. Comms, see if you can directly connect a personal comm unit with the transmitter array, but cut all comms first. Prepare emergency hyperjump co-ordinates, and jump as soon as we start losing systems!"
****
As confused as he was by the Admiral's orders and vehement tone of voice, he had done as bidden and brought Mryna aboard the transport.
Since apprehending her, an act that had been almost as surprising to Gyttel as it had to his captive, he had remained mostly silent, but he could contain his curiosity no longer,
"Major Qhalic - is it still Major? Nevermind - there's a question I've wanted to ask you for a long time now: who are you?"

"It doesn't matter, who I am." Mryna said in icy calmnes. The restraints locking her hands behind her back didn't really concern her neither did the fact that she was now being transferred to some imperial base or whatever.
"By capturing me you have brought some big wheels in motion."
"Is that so?" the Commando said sarcastically. "Well, I'll advise my commander to be alert once we reach our destination."
Mryna smiled sinisterly. "That won't be necessary now. They will probably know already."
Though his face was hidden by the helmet, she knew he was frowning. "What do you mean?"
Almost as an answer to his question Mryna heard a shocked gasp from the small transport's cockpit followed by some random curses.
"You weren't thinking I've come here alone, were you?" Mryna said. Through a small viewport to her right she could now see the Dominance and other ESS ships advancing towards the small imperial group around the battlecruiser. She felt light forces tearing on her as the transport started evasive maneuvers.
"Damnit!" Gyttel hissed holding on to his seat. "What is this all?"
"Why so surprised?" Did you think capturing me would stay without consequences?"
"I was only following orders." the commando defended himself. "I know better than to question them."
"Sometimes it might be better to do just that." Mryna commented in a slightly scolding tone. "But it doesn't matter now." The ship rocked slightly as the first salvos hit the shields.
"Inbound fighters" reported a nervous pilot from the cockpit. "Unknown classification."
"They're coming for me."
Gyttel got up and turned to his teammates. "Man the turrets! Request fighter support from-"
"Don't do that!" Mryna interrupted. Again the ship rocked as more salvos hit. "It will only make things worse. My people want me alive."
"I'm not going to let this ship be disabled either. My first mission on this cursed moon was a failure thanks to your friend Mako. I won't allow another failure to ruin my day!"
"Come to your senses, Gyttel" Mryna said vehemently raising from her seat. "You won't see the end of this day if you continue this way." She was standing right before him focussing him - as far as that was possible through his darkened visors. "I can help you." She said vividly. "if you let me go."
"Help us?"
"To survive."
-------------------------
"We've located her transponder. She seems to be on a small transport just leaving the planet."
"Disable the ship and lock the tractor beam once it's in range." Sara ordered. "Send out fighters if necessary!"
"Admiral, the Proditus has opened fire on us. Shields are holding." So much for covert operations! Sara mused. In the distance she could see the smaller battlecruiser's hull light up as their turbolasers fired at the Dominance. To their port side Predator and one of her escorts were harassing the ISD Culler's shields while the second Inferno II cruiser moved in to intercept the Transport where Mryna was held.
"Very well, return fire and charge a single Omega array. We want to remind them who they are dealing with."
A few moments later their starboard side lit up as a crimsond beam solved from one of the four Omega arrays and lanced through space to penetrate the Proditus' bow shields.
"Hail the Proditus!" she ordered the comm officer. "Inform them that this was a shot before the bow and offer them the chance to surrender - for old times' sake!"

"Maybe that comm hack wasn't such a bad thing, I can't believe I was about to let their incursions go unpunished, status?"
"I've purged the comm system, rebooting now, should be fine, I hope. I still can't explain it though.!
"I have a few ideas, they're immaterial though, ready back-up shields and forward flak pods." The worry was gone from Pitto's face now, his battlegroup appeared hopelessly outgunned, but these dissidents didn't know Nar Shaddaa like he did.
****
Gyttel did his best to shrug off Mryna's words, but they were not easy to ignore. It was the second time someone he considered an enemy had offered to help him, and Imperial doctrine simply made no suggestions of how to deal with such a situation, save for the basic fall-back directive of kill everything.
"Shields out, they've switched to some sort of ion weapon, but.. different. Systems beginning to fail." The pilot remained calm, no doubt because of the sealed ejection seat he was sitting on.
"Why hasn't the Proditus launched its fighters?" Pitto asked incredulously
"I don't know sir, it seems..."
The pilot was cut off, as right in front of the viewport, several large objects materialised from nowhere. Almost immediately, dozens of smaller objects streamed from openings on the undersides of the gigantic warships. "Ah, maybe that's why. Well, we're now a lot closer to home, I think we can make it."
"Good, I'll go and make sure our guest is uncomfortable, if she won't surrender information on her group willingly, we make have to take it from her, and a good interrogation always starts with a bit discomfort."
****
No sooner had the comms relay come back online, the Proditus received its warning.
"So that was just a warning shot, eh?" Well that's going to cost them." Pitto smiled, turning to the weapons station, he continued the order, "target the source of that beam, load the forward flak pods with the HE rounds and fire at will.
From two large protusions at the front of the warships sharply tapering hull, a series of flashes signalled the launch of several ten-metre long projectiles, travelling at high speed. As the projectiles neared their target, they exploded, sending thousands of tiny razor-sharp, superheated pieces of hardened durasteel. Totally bypassing the ship's heavy shields, they tore into its thick armour, shredding it like tissue.
"Tell them that's our response!" Gyttel snarled, "activate back up shields, and broadside the nearest destroyer, bring the entire Subjugator group in, we'll destroy them one by one. It's time I corrected my earlier mistake, we'll get all the information we need from the wreckage."

Bill sat at his desk smiling.
“Now then the plan is simple Andrew old buddy old pal. You know I don’t like the Imperials after what they have done to me. Why am I working with them you might ask? Its simple they can get my ships back… even if it is just one.”
“What are you gonna do just hand us over in pieces?”
“In a matter of speaking” Bill walked over and placed a bomb under Andrew’s coat where it was not visible and one under Allora’s chair. At that instant a red light started to flash. Admiral Skray’s image appeared on the screen. Bill sat down. “Admiral sooner than expected might I say. You have my ships?”
“In a matter of speaking. The VSD is disabled but something happened that we didn’t not expect. The Corvette managed to swing around and take out our engines with warheads.”
“Damit Admiral I told you not to underestimate The Falcon! It has advanced warhead launchers!”
“I understand our fighters are keeping the Corvette busy while our transports are preparing to board the VSD.”
“Make it quick Admiral.” Bill did not look happy at all.
----------
Kex had to pick herself up. The impact of the ion cannons caused her to fall down. She grabbed her personal communicator.
“Falcon report!”
“Ma’am the engines are disabled there are transports headed your way though and we cant catch up to them, and all of our fighters are busy.”
“Sir you have orders to go to Nar Shaddaa and find Jack and rescue him.
“Ma’am we will not leave you!”
“You have to leave me we have it under control we have the traps set. JUST GO!” The Corvette began to retreat the battle and head for the nearest port to land. The hanger again was alive troops got ready behind the doors for an ambush and AT-ST walkers got ready to attack. Kex loaded her gun she was going to lead the first attack.
--------
Bill forced everyone into a hanger where there was a DX-9 waiting. Allora was picked up by the chair and bill carried her on board while the Ysalamiri stayed oh his shoulder. Some of Bill’s men were already onboard waiting for everyone. Bill called Skray from the DX-9.
“Call me when your ready for me to board.”

Mako pocketed the comlink that Jonathan had given him as he turned to go back the way
they came. They hadn't gotten too far away from Jonathan's ship before they caught sight of a stormtrooper patrol of four troops. "Let me see that lightsaber I gave you earlier." He asked of Roscha as they backed up to a more sheltered spot.Roscha gave him a dubious look. "What? Expecting me to sit on the sidelines and watch?"
"No," Mako replied as he opened up the lightsaber Roscha had just given him. "I'm
just making a slight modification. You never did make a set for yourself did you?"
"I never saw the need for such toys when compared to our abilities."
Mako removed the violet colored crystal and replaced it with a Crimson one that he fished out of his pocket. "These 'toys' can be powerful tools when used in conjunction with our 'abilities' considering that we're only trying to pass ourselves off as Force wielders." Mako closed the lightsaber back then proceeded to open the one he held and removed the silver crystal that was in it.
Rosha humphed. "It's by your suggestion that we only go so far."
"And you best of all should know why." Mako resealed the the lightsaber after inserting an Emerald colored crystal. Then he gave that to Roscha as well. "Consider these my latest gift to you."
Roscha gave Mako a questioning look. "And what do you plan on using?"
Mako gave her a sly smile. "I never said we shouldn't give our abilities a good workout." Coming out from their temporary Mako rushed the patrol they had come upon earlier.
Seeing the three companions rushing them the Stormtroopres opened fire. Mako dodged and weaved between the bolts as if they were moving in slow motion. When he reached the nearest trooper Mako gabbed the trooper's helmet with one hand then jumped over his head doing a full twisting cartwheel effectively snapping the trooper's neck. Landing on his feet Mako threw the dead trooper at the next one in line sending them both flying. One of the remaining troopers went for a butt stroke with his cabine. Mako sidestepped out of the way and struck the weapon shattering it. Striking the trooper in the head with his elbow on the return blow snapping his neck, Mako grabbed the trooper's chinstrap spun and used him as a club to bat the last trooper twenty feet away.
Ferris walked up to her father as he tossed the trooper he had in his hand away like a ragdoll. "Show off."
Another pair of Stormtroopers showed up, but before they could react Roscha had appeared behind them with the crimson and emerald bladed lightsabers activated. A second later the troopes fell to pieces.
"No dear that's showing off." Mako said pointing towards Roscha. A moment later they saw Jonathan's ship take off. "That's our cue to get going as well."
----------------------
Skray shut off the comm. Damn that Bill was demanding. It was bad enough that he had to battle enemy forces with disabled engines, but having to deal with Bill's demands was starting to wear.
"Is it wise to let that Stray dog have his way?" Ilion asked
"Even a stray dog can prove useful when kept on a loose leash." Skray answered. "How are the boarding parties going?'
"The troops have run into some resistance and traps but nothing that can't be handled."
"Good." Opening comunicatios with Bill, Skray informed him that it was safe to land. "Let him earn his keep."
The remaining six ISDs in the strike force took up positions to better attack the large battle cruiser that had just revealed itself, while the nebulon-B s and Gunships surrounded the VSD and provided cover from enemy star fighters. Skray smiled to himself, he may be out of the fight but this battle was for the most part won. Then as he saw two more ISDs, a Tector, and a Preator hyper in Skray all out laughed in joyous humor.
-------------------
Infiltrating the Warehouse had proved more than a little difficult, but still when compaired to raising Mako it was a cinch. Wolf had just gotten done quietly taking out the guards when Xandra had appeared out of the nearby room with a heavily beaten Drax. With a nod Wolf activated his locator beacon and both him and Xandra made their way back out of the warehouse.
--------------------------
Mako, Roscha, and Ferris battled their way back to the where the Gopher was stashed. At first the going was rough but then it got easier until eventually it was nothing but smooth sailing. Finally reaching the Gopher they found a couple of Troopers standing guard outside the ship. Mako had started to move in on them when Ferris put a hand on his shoulder and gave him a sly smile. Mako just shrugged and gave her the go ahead. With her smile still in place and both of her swords sheathed Ferris walked towards the Troopers with a sultry shake of her hips with every step. The troopers too distracted by her looks and walk let her get close, too close before they realized they were dead. With what seemed to be a flick of her wrist, Ferris was already returning Soryunokiba to it's sheath when the troopers fell apart spilling blood and guts everywhere. Roscha hurried up to the ship to punch in the code to lower the boarding ramp. "I see you've been working on your Lotus technic. Very impressive though a bit slow."
Mako came up just as Roscha got the ramp to start lowering shaking a finger at his daughter. "No! Never again."
"what?"
"You know what. Not in front of me, Never again."
"Can you argue about this later?" Roscha cut in. "We have to get moving."
The three of them got into the cockpit. Mako sat down in the pilot's chair when he noticed a red blip going off. "Alright it looks like Wolf has found Andrew's companion and is calling for a pickup. Strap in you two hopefully this will go smoothly." After checking the ship's systems Mako got the Gopher airborne and headed off towards Wolf's signal.
[ 07 June 2007: Message edited by: Mako ]

"Well my dear it seems like we won't need your 'help' after all." Gyttel announced. Mryna had to pull herself together not to giggle. From his tone he sounded as if the battle was already won, hadn't it even really begun yet.
"So I figured" Mryna said. "Then I guess I have to help myself." It was time to end this game and get things moving again. Twitching her right thumb she sent out an impulse that caused a small device in her wrist to send out an EMP wave just strong enough to deactivate the restrains. Twitching her right thumb in a circular way sent out a series of commands to her ship.
Aboard the captured Black Scorpion flying alongside the transport a high voltage blast went through the canopy and passenger cabin knocking out the troops that were piloting the ship. Next the Scorpion slowed downand its four forward guns opened fire on the transport's engine array.
-----------------
The transport rocked hard when the unexpected salvos from behind hit the engines. Gyttel stumbled backwards and had to hold on to one of the rails to the roof. In a split second Mryna was on her feet and in a swift movement her flat palm shot forward slaming into the Commando's chest plate. The impact was hard enough to throw him backwards and crashing into the wall.
Startled by the sudden attack Gyttel reached for his weapon, but Mryna was quicker. A spin kick threw the gun out of his hands and sent it flying through the cabin. Continuing the circular movements she ducked and sweeped him off his feet. As hit head hit the floor his helmet - luckily for him - absorbed enough of the hit to only render him unconcious.
The whole sequence had taken barely five seconds but caused enough noise to alarm his companions in the turrets. Hearing footsteps approaching she dove for Gyttels dropped weapon grabbing it just in time as the first commando showed up in the doorway. The first shot hit his shoulder, the next his knee. Despite the armor the impact was enough to bring him to his knees.
"Man down" she heard a voice behind the door. Time to act quickly. with a running jump she used the wounded trooper's as base to catapult hier into the air finding a commando on each side of her. Directing the jump to one side she kicked the one's head while aiming the gun backwards shooting the other one in his unprotected throat.
Dead, wounded and unconcious all three dropped to the floor and Mryna took a moment to breath. Returning into the room where she had been held Mryna retrieved her gear, coat and weapons.
After checking the bodies she made her way to the cockpit.
"What the... Oh crap..." was all the pilot could cough out as he felt one of Mryna's two-barreled blasters to the back of his head.
"Listen to me, soldier" Mryna commanded. "You have three unconcious commandos and one dead in your holding cell. They need immediate medical support if they are to survive. You will fly to your command ship and see to them being taken care of. I will leave you now. Should you try to hold me back, there will be no hope for any of you. You are now responsible for them."
With these words she left the left the cockpit. While moving to the transport's starboard hatch she keyed in some commands into her wrist console steering the Scorpion to dock with the transport.
-----------------
"This is Black Scorpion to Dominance. I'm back in action and awaiting orders."
"Acknowledged Black Scorpion. We received the info that the Gopher has taken off. Escort them off the planet!"
"Copy that. I'm on my way!"
-----------------
"That Vengeance has gone under some modifications since we last met." Sara commented in mild suprise. "What's the status of that omega array?"
"The shrapnels have destroyed 50% of the array's emplacements. It should still be operational though."
"Have the standard weapons target those star destroyers. Conentrate the Omega arrays on those FLAK pods."
"No!" Sara heard the Empress' voice from her right. "I will do that myself. By using those projectiles against us they have spelled their doom."
-----------------
Shiromy closed her eyes and let her mind extend. Reaching out she could see - could feel the world around her. Her spirit moved further away, left the bridge and traveled through the space between the two massive ships. They were about to fire a second blast. It would be their last. Touching the warheads with invisible tentacles they exploded the moment they were fired and the thousands of shrapnels tore the pods apart.
Opening her eyes again she smiled. "Fire at will. Lock two Omega arrays on one Star Destroyer at a time and lock our port DIP batteries on the rest! It's time to teach them a lesson."
[ 07 June 2007: Message edited by: General_Trageton ]

As Pitto watched the destroyed section of the ship's bow drfit off, he could not help but roll his eyes.
"I should've known as soon as we developed a weapon as capable as that some flamin' Jedi would destroy it, now I know how the Emperor must have felt."
"That wasn't a Jedi."
"But you said that-"
"Yes, I felt a tremor in the Force, a big one, but it wasn't a Jedi that caused it. That kind of manipulation is far beyond the powers of any Jedi."
"Can you deal with it?"
Pitto turned to face his interlocutor, a lean, wiry man with steely grey hair. He wore a deep blue tunic, and a heavy, dark brown robe. Other than his bright green eyes and stubbly beard, his most distinguishing feature was a small, polished cylinder hanging from a leather belt. His name was Gurn Akkare, and he had once been a Jedi.
"To put it simply, no. Whatever it was is far stronger with the Force than I, and I'm worried they may not even know it."
"How can they not know? They knew enough to blow the front off the friggin' ship!"
"They know they have powers, abilities, obviously, but maybe not that it resonates in the Force."
"OK, great. You have any more useful advice for me you let me know, I've got a battle to win here."
Akkare sighed, "Just try and stay unpredictable."
Pitto nodded, before returning to the business more immediately at hand.
"Have Admiral Skray's battlegroup engage the heavy, fire all port turbolasers at the nearest destroyer and have Cascade join us, keep Subjugator in rearguard position. Load the rear flak pod with a gauss round and target the heavy's bridge, but don't fire until I give the command, get the main shields recharged and switch as soon as you're able. Get me a ramming solution for the heavy and keep us updated, I want to make sure if we go down we take that with us."
The Proditus rocked as her port turbolasers fired in unison, lighting the Inferno-II nearest to her in blinding green light. It's strong shields withstood three successive salvos, and her broadside guns managed to score a few retaliatory hits, but then Cascade's heavy turbolaser batteries opened up, and a trio of large explosions rocked the imperiled vessel, blasting huge chunks out of her heavy frontal armour and blowing off the starboard protrusion.
As the six ISD-IIs under Admiral Skray's command began firing on the huge vessel before them, the Dominance was peppered by bright green flashes, the lack of effectiveness only just made up for by the sheer number of hits.
A single blast from one of the mighty battleship's Omega Arrays, fired seemingly as lazily as a newspaper swatting at a slow fly, tore through the shields of the lead ship, and creating a charred hole through her centreline. With debris trailing from the gaping orafice, the Destroyer resumed her attack, her heavy armour protecting her from the return turbolaser fire, for now at least.
****
Gyttel came to, and found the ship just touching down in the Proditus' hangar, he looked back and saw the pile of bodies in the aft access corridor. It was immediately clear that Flare was dead, the blood oozing from what remained of his throught was a simple enough indicator. Pike was wounded, and Telum was unconscious.
Mryna was nowhere to be seen.
Seething with rage, Gyttel slammed his fist into a nearby bulkhead. It hurt. Rubbing his had, Gyttel strode out of the transport and began walking towards the turbolifts, turning once to take a look at the now ruined transport, how it had limped back home Gyttel would never quite figure out.
It was not long before Gyttel reached his destination, the escape pod bays.

The DX-9 landed in the hanger of the ISD. Skray was waiting for him. The ramp opened and Bill gigantic form towered over the admiral.
“I got all 4 right here for both ships.”
“We don’t exactly have both ships…”
“The deal was that I give you all four for both ships!”
“That wasn’t the deal!”
“It don’t matter as long as I get one.” Bill smiled here I got the famous Andrew the Republic’s so called hero! And his jedi girl friend.” Bill smacked the Ysalamiri on Skray’s shoulder. Skray was disgusted. By the sight of the creature and was ready to peal it off. “Don’t think of removing it, you need this little critter to keep her powerless.” One of Bill’s men picked up the chair and set it in the hanger with Allora on top all weak and helpless. Andrew had cuffs on him and looked beat. Bill was proud of his work.
“Well then if that’s that I’ll be taking my new ship away then!”

Skray watched as Bill boarded his DX9 to head over and take control of the VSD leaving the four captives in his care. Ilion was standing near by. leaning over Skray whispered in Ilion's ear. "Once he's aboard the VSD have the gunships and frigates peel off and assist with the destruction of that Dominance battle cruiser. We'll leave the stray to deal with the complete capture of the VSD on his own."
"And the boarding team?" Ilion asked.
"I know where their loyalties lay. Have them assist Bill where they can and to keep an eye on him."
"Yes sir. I've been informed that the tracking device has been safely secured aboard the vessel, and tied into its reactor core. Should Bill or any others find and attempt to mess with it the ship will blow."
Skray smiled at this. "Good work."
"Oh and Sir," Ilion continued, "I took the liberty of having the engines repaired whikle you were busy with our guest. And it would also seem that word of our slight difficulties has gotten out and reinforcements should be arriving within the hour." Skray's smile got even larger. "Ilion, what would I do without you?" Taking the Ysalamiri off his shoulder Skray handed it to the nearest trooper to him. "Take the Jedi and make damn sure she doesn't have any weapons on her especially a lightsaber. As a matter of fact I want them all researched for weapons. I wouldn't put it past Bill to have set me up for something. Split them up between the detention blocks as well. ANd be alert for anything. Even unarmed these four can pose a problem." Skray walked over to the togorian that was bound next to Andrew. "This one in particular. He's apart of Mako's crew. Take them all away, but I'll be interrogating this one personally."
-----------------
Mako turned the transport sideways as he barely squeezed it between two buildings in the lower refugee sector of Nar Shadaa with inches to spare on either side. He heard one of the TIEs slam into one of the buildings behind him. That left four to keep peppering his tail. Things were going smoothly until they had gotten within a kilometer of Wolf's position. Then out of nowhere five Defenders came in trying to disable The Gopher. Mako had no idea Who'd sent them after him but right now he didn't care.
"Keep this junk heap still so I can get a clear shot!" Roscha yelled from the upper Turret.
"Just hold on and keep them off my tail!" Mako yelled back. Putting the ship into a corkscrewing dive, Mako dodged several bridges as he went deeper into the duracrete maze. Both Roscha and Ferris were keeping the heat on their attackers. As Mako suddenly pulled the transport into a steep climb he heard another TIE explode. One of his gunners must've gotten lucky or really pissed. After several more minutes of weaving through buildings, bridges, traffic and power lines, the remaining fighters were either shot down, ripped apart from frustration, or they slammed into buildings or traffic. After finally catching his breath Mako picked up Wolf, Xandra, and their charge.
"What'd you do? Stop for a danish?" Wolf asked as he strapped himself into the Co-pilot's chair.
"Nah, A couple of cops tried to give me a speeding ticket."
"I take it they didn't succeed."
Mako just smiled.
"We got more incoming fighters!" Ferris called up.
"Oh great they called in backup." Mako mumbled sarcastically. "Hold on!" Putting most of the power into the engines he aimed the ship skyward, but not before one of the TIEs could get off a lucky shot. Which blew off a component. "What was that? Did something just get blown off my ship!?"
"Yep." Wolf answered "it was a part of the shield projector. We've got no shields."
"Great just great." Dumping whatever energy that was left to the shields into the engines Mako got the transport space bound.

The Black Scorpion spun and dove her rear quad turret blazing with blue energy salvos as Mryna mowed through the chaos of dogfights around her. Their TIE Vampires were keeping the imperial Fighters more than busy while the TIE Reapers had joined the New Republic's bombers against the Imperial capital ships. Mryna herself was now breaking through the blockade, en route to give cover to the fleeing Gopher.
Approaching the planet her scanners picked up the worn down transport just about to leave the atmosphere. Along with it she picked up several more signals on its tail.
"Black Scorpion to Gopher, what's your status?" She hailed the transport.
"Barely alive and on the run will fit best." Mako's distorted voice replied. "Shields are gone, glad we packed enough duct tape to hold this hunk together."
"I'll be there in 20 seconds, prepare to break low on my signal!" With these words she locked the quad turret in forward position and pre-configured the warhead launchers to fire a missile screen.
"We're ready" Mako confirmed. "Almost there."
Before her she saw the transport on colision course.
"Break off now!" She commanded. As the transport dove below her, she squeezed her yokes and sent out a deadly barrage of DIP, Dhilani salvos and a firy cloud of missiles tearing apart 5 of the 6 Defenders. A lucky guy flying a bit behind his wingman had enough time to break off and evade the inferno but was soon tracked by the Scorpion's turret and soon joined his colleagues in their murky fate.
"Nice shooting!" Mako applauded. "And thanks for the assist. So what's your plan?"
"We've prepared a bay for you aboard the Dominance."
"That's a negative." Mako protested. "We can't leave without Andrew and the others."
"You won't be any help to them if you get shot down in that flying brick of yours." Every second she looked at that ship she grew more doubts it would actually make it to the Dominance. "We'll take care about them, once you're safe. Me and my wingmen will escort you to the hangar. Now get moving!"
"Very well." Mako agreed reluctantly. "I guess we don't have much of a choice."
------------------
"The Black Scorpion and Gopher are underway. They should reach us in two minutes."
"Good," Sara said. She was actually mildly suprised. The combined attack by those six star destroyers had indeed had its effect on the port shields. While they had brought down two with the Omega emplacements, the remaining ones were now getting supported by a group of frigates that had priorly been dealing with that Republic VSD and the Predator. "Plot a course out of this system. Head for rendezvous point Delta."
"We're leaving Mako's people behind?" The first mate questioned.
The Empress answering for Sara. "We're heading to a more familiar battleground. Mako's comrads are aboard one of those Star Destroyers. If the fleet pursues us, we'll await them accordingly. If they don't, we'll have a strike team ready that will bring them back.
"As you command." the man said. "Course plotted. It might be close though. That Vengeance leaves only little room for us to maneuver."
"We'll make it." Sara encouraged the officer. "Transmit the coordinates to our fighters, we won't have enough time to pick them up. Jump as soon as Gopher and Black Scorpion have landed!"
"Almost there..." the sensors chief reported.
"Cloak!" Sara ordered. Moments later the hull outside the viewports turned transparent, then vanished completely.
"They landed." The hangar chief reported.
"Adjust course and jump."
"incoming projectiles - dumb-fired." The sensors chief cried out in alert.
"Well, looks like they don't want us to leave." Sara commented dryly.
"They're too fast, I can't..."
"I have them" the Empress said calmly. Looking at the sensors screen Sara watched as the two large warheads blind-aimed for them changed course and now headed towards one of the star destroyers. As their proximity triggers engaged their shrapnels shredded through the massive ship's hull.
"Course set, jumping now." Before them space lit up and the Dominance was on its way.

Skray watched as the Dominance vanished. Damn this had not gone as planned. Watching from a nearby view port watched as three of the ISDs that were a part of his task force drifted lifelessly through space. Shuttles were doing their best to pickup escape pods and ejected pilots. The remaining ships went about taking down one of the smaller cruisers before it could disappear as well. Under the combined firepower of the frigates, gunships, and ISDs the cruiser went down quickly. Turning away from the viewport Skray continued his walk down to the detention area.
"Sir, all enemy forces have retreated from the area." Ilion told Skray via comlink. "Reports from our remaining fighters confirm that the Gopher docked with the Dominance just after it left the system."
"Damn. He's slipped through my grasp again. We have a jump signature and a destination correct?"
"I started on it as soon as the Dominance jumped. We should have the coordinates shortly Sir. Should I give the order to follow?"
"No! No doubt they know that we'll follow. It's a trap." Skray sighed "For now we lick our wounds and wait for the backup. Let Pitto know of our intentions, and that he and his forces are more than welcome to join us when we head out. Also I want salvage crews out there picking up debris from that destroyer's wreckage. Let's see what we can learn about our new adversaries."
"Yes sir." came Ilion's reply
Skray stopped in front of the cell that held the pirate Canthas. Four guards were standing outside with an interrogation droid. Motioning to the guards one of them opened the door to the cell. Two Guards and the interrogation droid entered the cell with Skray while the remaining two stayed outside.
"Now we're going to discuss your organization. "Skray told the Togorian.
--------------
Mako didn't like leaving one of his own behind but it couldn't helped this time. Shutting down the Gopher he climbed down the ramp followed by Roscha, Ferris, Xandra and Wolf who was carrying Drax.
Myrna was waiting for them as they exited. "So what happened to Jonathan?"
Mako shrugged "He left the moon before us. I think he went to meet that fleet of his."
"Oh well, I must say though, I'm amazed this flying heap made it."
"Hey!" Mako "I'll have you know this is the second fastest ship in the galaxy!"
"Second fastest junk heap you mean." Ferris said under her breath.
"Anyway," Mako gave her a stern look "We're in need of your medical facilities. It seems that our friend here has taken quite a beating."
Myrna nodded "That can be arranged."
"Good, then in the meantime we might as well see her Majesty and see just how much in debt my hide is in. I get the feeling our arrangement's going to have me paying more than was first intended."
[ 12 June 2007: Message edited by: Mako ]

Pitto surveyed his bridge tiredly. The aggressors had just abruptly left the system, despite seemingly having the upper hand. The destroyer closest to them, however, had not been so lucky. Already missing an engine block, the suddenly sluggish ship had been slow to begin its jump, and under heavy fire from the Proditus and Cascade, the ship had finally given out, and was left crippled. Pitto had intended to spare them, and formerly arrest them, sending a message to their superiors that Imperial justice was swift and absolute.
However, the vessels under Skray had moved in faster than Pitto anticipated, obliterating the vessel before the order to cease had formed on his lips. Pitto was not overly concerned though, the attrition rate was still at least three to one in favour of Pitto's enemies.
"Report." he barked at Harkner.
"This one might take a while sir, bare with me," came the hoarse reply, "The aggressors have jumped, Skray thinks he may have a possible vector, but I don't know how accurate we can be. Three Star Destroyers lost from Skray's battlegroup, the first two were blown through by that heavy's beam weapons, but on both occasions the blast went through the ship's centre, actually away from majorly crew intensive areas, so casualties are minimal. However, the ships are both going into cascade failure, and are probably beyond salvage. The Victory-class Pestilence has just arrived, and they're docking with the first ISD now, it will be a squeeze but I think we can evac the survivors. The third ISD, the one that we.. erm.. hit, is not in such good shape. It doesn't look critical, but life support is down in several areas, the crew are trapped in the command section, with a few in the bow. Docking ports are gone, so we're essentially going to have to force a boarding to get them out, that's in progress.
Finally, we've partially cracked the encryption on a series of transmissions between the aggressors. Their actual comms are far too secure, but they have a system similar to ours of sending small burst transmissions at pre-programmed intervals to update status information. These are less secure, but even so the only things we've been able to extract is the name of the vessels.
The larger one is the Dominance, as expected, and the one we just destroyed is.. was the Keeper."
"Alright, remain at battlestations, we'll make ready to jump at the earliest oppurtunity. If only there were some way of neutralising that Jedi or whatever the hell it was. We haven't got a chance so long as it's predicting our every strategy and countering my every move."
Pitto rubbed the bridge of his nose, as he turned back to the viewport. Barely a second later, the distant form of one of the damaged Star Destroyers, from which the Pestilence was just pulling away split violently in two, as its damaged reactor exploded.
Suddenly, something in Pitto's mind clicked
"Get me an engineering team on the comm, NOW!"

How could they have missed it? Andrew was sitting in his jail cell feeling his long coat. They found his hidden pistol and striped him of his high tech armor but they missed the bomb planted in his coat. A devilish smile came to Andrew’s face. Andrew pulled the bomb out of his inside pocket.
“GUARDS! COME QUICK!” 2 stormtroopers came to the window of his cell. Andrew held up the bomb. The troopers quickly opened the cell door and walked in. Listen guys I don’t know how you missed this but Bill planted it in my jacket. This is enough to put a hole in your hull. I know how to disable it. The troopers looked at each other. Andrew jumped on one of them and tacked him to the ground. The other trooper tried to pull Andrew off. Andrew was able to knock the helmet off of the trooper he tacked and slam him in the face with the bomb knocking him out. The other trooper went to grab his gun to shoot but Andrew was able to swiftly kick it out of his hands. Again Andrew tackled him and began to beat him up. Andrew went out to the hallway with the rifle and the gun. He noticed an open cell he walked over and saw Skray with 4 guards and an interrogation droid. Andrew opened fire, killing 3 of the guards. Skray ducked and turned around in shock.
“Let him go right now! If you don’t ill blow this ship up!!” Andrew reviled himself holding the bomb with a crazed look on his face. “You wanna see crazy?? Then LET HIM GO!”
--------------
Bill was busy working on the ship and was ready to turn on Skray’s men. He sent the message to his men’s data pads to lock and load. His men were trained to perfection in every firearm known to man. His men were also trained to physical perfection. Bill was arming his famous concussion rifle and was ready to strike. They just needed to wait for the ship to be repaired and they were golden.

Skray quickly got over his surprise upon seeing Andrew with the bomb. Slowly he started to smile as he raised his hands. "Crazy? Yes. Suicidal? No. Let's face it, you blow that bomb, yes you'll destroy the ship then you'll die along with your friends. If I hand over this criminal to you, you'll have to find the rest of your crew, then get to the landing bay fighting the entire way, and with them being in the bad condition that they're in you won't make it. And even if you did there's an entire Imperial fleet out there to fight through. So that leaves you with two choices. Die now or live for later."
Andrew kept staring at Skray with a crazed look but now there was doubt in his eyes. He could see the reasoning behind Skray's words. Still Andrew shook his head. "LET HIM GO!"
Skray let out a small chuckle. "Don't believe me? See for yourself." Moving out of the way so that Andrew could get a better look at Canthas. "As you can see the drugs are in full effect on your friend. He's as docile as a newborn cub. So much so that I don't even need the restraints." Andrew could indeed see that Canthas' restraints had
been removed. Skray chuckled again as he clasped his hands behind his back. "As you
can fully see you can't escape. So just drop the bo..."
With almost lightning speed Canthas jumped up, grabbed Skray by the back of the neck and broke it with a twist. "Geeze I was getting tired of listening to him."
Andrew stood there in complete shock as Canthas discarded the now dead admiral like a ragdoll. "I thought you were drugged."
"I am." Canthas replied "Roscha taught all of us how to fight all types of drugs and poisons. Now let's find the others and get out of here. Oh and Keep that bomb handy it could be of use later."
----------------------
Ilion watched on the bridge as the promised reinforcements arrived in the form of three Sovreign class star destroyers one of which was the Purifier, Skray's personal ship, and four modular star haulers carrying supplies. Getting on the Comm Ilion called the Admiral to inform him that the reinforcements had arrived. After several tries with no response Ilion became worried and sounded the alarm.
----------------------
Mako, Roscha, and Ferris followed Myrna as they entered the bridge of the Dominance.
Mako put on his best smile when he saw the Empress. "Your majesty, to what do I owe the honor? Surly you didn't come all this way just to collect on the debt I owe?"
Shiromy nodded "You are very observant. No I did not."
"I told you she was here for the price on your head." Roscha said with a slight smile on her lips.
"No I'm here to ensure you stay alive long enough to settle that debt."
"Hah" Mako chuckled "As flattered as I am by that gesture, there aren't that many things out there that can take me out. I must thank you for the assist though there are others who aren't as resiliant as me. But seeing as how you're so worried about my safe being how about I cut you a new deal to go along with the one I already have with Trageton. I understand that you are an avid collector of fighting styles and techniquies."
Shiromy raised one of her eyebrows as if in question.
"What I propose is this. For say two of those nice Warhammer battle cruisers and a mobile space station, Roscha will teach you better control over your powers. Let's face it You're powerful but sloppy, you need control on a molecular scale. No offence intended. On top of that I'll teach you every fighting style that has been written about in the known galaxy, well what ever ones you don't know already, and I'll even teach you what only my wife and daughter know."
"Mako no!" Roscha protested "That is Our responsibility, Our weight to carry!"
"And what if you need help?" Mako asked calmly, "There's no one else in the galaxy powerful enough to do it. Wolf and the others will be too busy keeping those bastards off your butts to be of any use anyway."
Roscha still continued to shake her head. "I won't let them get you again, I swear!"
"Still babe, we need a backup just in case."
"What is this about?" Shiromy asked
"It's about the last part of the deal." Mako replied
"And that would be?"
"And that would be that in addition to the training, and the SSD, I'll teach you how to kill me, Just in case some very bad beings should get a hold of me."
Shiromy's eyes narrowed "You think much of yourself Mako."
"No, I don't." he replied "You have control of your powers enough to destroy what? A Star destroyer with a single thought? To take me out you'll need to have enough control to lay waste to half the galaxy. So what do you say, is it a deal?"

"Powerful arguments." Shiromy admitted. "You'll understand that I need some time to think about that offer."
"Absolutely." Mako assured smiling. "Take your time, we won't run away. Oh..." Mako said casually. "speaking of it, where are we heading?"
"We're en route to a rendezvous with a small task force, just a bit of backup." Phaley replied. "The resistance at Nar Shaddaa was stronger than we anticipated."
"So we'll return with reinforcements?" Ferris said grimacing.
"No, we won't." Phaley smiled. "The Dominance has a much too large profile in open space. I'm estimating some of the imperial ships will follow us. Where we're going, advantage is ours."
"You aren't afraid of the dark, ar you?" Shiromy mocked with a exaggeratedly sinister smile, before she left the bridge.
-----------------------
"I sometimes wonder who is crazier, you or Mako." Vince's holographic figure made a face.
"It's a tough offer, I know." Shiromy said, pacing up and down her suite. "Mako sure knows how to place his arguments."
"You don't have to tell me - I made the first deal."
"So what do you think?"
"Well, if you take the lessons well and achieve a power such as he says, I think we could expense 2 Warhammers and a Diamond Station. Learning takes time however. You should try not to start a war in the near future."
"Now that you mention it..." Shiromy said with an innocent smile."
"No ..." Vince rolled his eyes in disbelief. "You didn't, did you?"
"We're en route to Bermuda." Shiromy said shortly. She wasn't intending to start a discussion. "Might have some followers."
Vince shook his head. "Alright, that was the last time I let you and Sara get onto the same ship. So who is it? Republic? United Planets? Vong?"
"Imperial Remnants." Shiromy said with an even more innocent smirk.
"You sure know how to pick the best fights. Alright, Hold your position once you're at the rendezvous. I'll get Traquia ready and be with you in five hours." The image dissolved abruptly. Shiromy rolled her eyes. Now she was in for a long talk. The bleeping of her intercom pulled her out of her ponderings.
"Your majesty, we're being hailed. They are referrring to Mr. Starcrusher."
-----------------------
With a mixture of grim and ironic disbelief Vince Trageton marched through the Traquia's corridors. That woman was going to cost him dear one day. He was going to have a serious talk with her, once this battle was over.
Fifteen minutes had passed since their holo conversation. He had grown accustomed to staying aboard his flagship permanently for the time Shiromy wasn't in the imperial palace. After a few turns he finally reached the spacy bridge.
"Alright Gentlemen, off to battle."
"We're clear for departure" the blue skinned Admiral awaiting him said. George Blexton had stayed Vince's number 1 for decades now. Since Vince could remember George was one of the serenest beings there were.
"Directions, Sir?" The slightly aged Cophuranee had fought the most furious battle with almost stoic calm - completely opposed to firy Sara Phaley. The two ere the embodyments of fire and ice just as were Vince and Shiromy.
"Bermuda passage." Vince said simply while the two were pacing up the stairs to the pair of command chairs. "We have a damsel in distress to rescue - again."
[ 18 June 2007: Message edited by: General_Trageton ]

"Admiral, course extrapolation coming through now. Five possible destinations along that direct vector, but the only likely one is a little known area right on the edge of known space. It goes by its local name, the Bermuda Passage, and we have virtually no information on it at all, save that it's considerd just about impossible to navigate through. The only charts we have are based on satellite data that's two-hundred years old, and the galactic drift correction software can't process it. Should I plot a course."
Pitto paused, and considered for a moment.
"Plot it," he responded eventually, "but hold position. See if you can work some alternate routes."
Captain Harkner approached the Admiral, a datapad in his hand.
"Sir, three Sovereign-class dreadnoughts under Skray's command have just arrived as reinforcements. I understand they were about to be mothballed though, certainly they've been stripped of superlasers, which is a shame but they're still highly effective battleships. In addition, the Praetor-class Ferocious is ten minutes out, which means that together we have a sizeable force. The engineering teams have started their work, and its going extremely quickly, they estimate that they'll be ready in just half an hour, though the slave rig will limit the navicomputer to just one jump without recalibration. All fighters have been transferred to the Cascade as ordered, and the last of the shuttles are docking now.
With all due respect Admiral, are you sure about this? We have a lot to lose here, and not a huge amount of gain."
"Captain you saw what they're capable of. The New Republic simply does not have the competence to repel any attack this ESS might make, should they choose. Once again, the burden of defending the galaxy falls squarely on the Empire's shoulders, and this may be our best chance, our only chance. If we could defeat them, we could bring their resources under Imperial control, we could use them to destroy the New Republic and bring the Empire back to its former glory, for good. Just think what a strong Emperor could do, with dozens of those Dominance ships rolling off production lines and under his command, lead by dedicated Imperial officers.
Captain, victory here would ensure the Empire's prosperity for generations, we have very much to gain indeed."
Harkner nodded, and returned to his station. Pitto's determination and tenacity had always been a strength, in Harkner's eyes, but the man was almost certainly about to bite off more than he could chew, and Harkner feared for all the lives under his command that may still die for Pitto's farfetched ambition.
Nonetheless, if he could achive what he hoped, it may well give the Empire the chance it needed to strike back.
****
Gurn Akkare paced slowly past his viewport's quarters. He knew full well that his skills as a Jedi had been relatively poor, having never progressed beyond the rank of Padawan, as events entirely beyond his control had seem and a cruiser full of clone troopers exiled with no hyperdrive to the unknown regions, before Pitto had eventually stumbled across them twenty years later. But he could not shake the vision that had suddenly flashed before his eyes from his mind. It had lasted only a brief few seconds, just long enough for him to see the Proditus in flames, and a smiling woman. But the vision, however it had been triggered, had Akkare worried. The sheer clarity of the vision suggested one of two things, either it was certain to happen, or the mysterious power he had felt earlier was trying to trick him. Neither conclusion was a particular pleasant thought.
