Sorry if I pressured everyone of you. As I always say: Take all the time you need. Especially for real life. :)

Ackbar's voice are all done, I uploaded onto my ftp. I'm currently finished test for tour IV and B-W historical. Only tour V and six bonus missions left. CrisGer is working on battle images. I would say we can have at least
3.0 release before November.

Good to see ya again.
Chris Redfield told me that he had hard drive failures recently so mission debriefings are delayed. And so is my Tour 3 testing.

:) Sharp Eye F, it is intended to be Orion indeed. :)

Since i cant "edit" the cutscene i am trying to match it with rendering work.

I finished up with all mission testing few weeks ago. Crisger is working on mission pictures, it will have better pictures after he done. Fek'LeyrTarg is working on e-mails. If you do not care about those two features, you can download XWC3.0 from my ftp.

Hmm... I am not quite clear on this, is the project still in the development stage or are there versions that have been released for the general public. I noticed something about waylon's ftp. I am not familiar with using that sort of thing. If there is a version that is "out" I would really like to try it. Could someone direct me to where it is or, waylon, could you explain how to use your ftp to get it? (If that is what is being used for people outside of the project team to attain it that is).

I haven't heard anything from my team mates lately.
But I'm working on something. If Waylon thinks it's ok, I'll tell you what it is and perhabs release a little teaser.

edit: I got the permission from Waylon.
Ok, I'm working on getting the sounds from XWINGCD into XWC.
I'll release a teaser soon.

Hi,

the original (spanish) project are available at the following Mediafire links (three parts from a 7z file):

http://www.mediafire.com/?ktoymmzqkuw
http://www.mediafire.com/?tnkzdmo1tdj
http://www.mediafire.com/?nmjkzywoolc

I decided not update the site after geocities' death, because I think this new, more ambitious and probably much better project, could be the successor to my old work.

By the way, when the project is complete I can make a spanish traslation :)

I finally finished construction of X-Wing Conversion and uploaded XWC 3.1 here:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/mvh3jw
http://www.sendspace.com/file/o6i7zb
This is generally converting Englisher version of Xwing-CD integrated with voiced briefing in all missions (including training and bonus), so the file because relative large (about 500Mb). I also integrated three Yavin missions by Red_Leader into this pack. Please read instruction (XWC.Readme.rtf) before installation. If there is any suggestion please let me know.

Thanks very much for everyones efforts in making this possible. I've downloaded it and - as an 'Old Jedi' - hope to be able to get it working on my system. :?

I've been playing thru my old version of XW again, but it takes ages - what with real life, the kids using my PC for FaceBook and my dulled reflexes :ops:

I'll feedback how I get on....in time!

Hi there

With much anticipation I set to installing XWC, but there is a problem in my set-up I am afraid: after lots of backing up and tinkering about, I get it working as far as the briefings, then there is a single 'donk' noise - (a Windows error note I think), then a blank screen. The error message I get to send to Microsoft if I want to is:

szAppName : XWingAlliance.exe szAppVer : 2.0.0.2 szModName : hungapp
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

I came across a couple of minor things in the XWC install: it installs to the directory 'XWingAlliance', whereas mine is 'X-Wing Alliance'. I manually copied the files across from 'XWingAlliance' to 'X-Wing Alliance', deleting the missions and just adding or replacing everything else. Also the default directory for the 'movies' is in lower case in XWC, but upper case in the correct 'X-Wing Alliance' directory. Does any of this matter?

The missions select OK, regardless of whichever pilot I use, the briefing runs OK (with sounds, as I followed the instructions on making a new ISO - I already used DEMON tools to mount an image of the XWA_DISK_1 and 2) but as soon as I select 'GO TO HANGER', it crashes.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your time

Old_Jedi,

I got the same "doink" problem at first, but once I changed the screen resolution to "1024x768", it loaded into the mission fine. Hope this helps!

That worked perfectly! Thanks very much for your time.

I have now edited my previous xwa .plt file using 'XWA Pilotfile Viewer 3001 <light>' from Darksabers site so I can carry on in XWC where I had got to in XWING95 (the mission list excel file was very useful for this. XWA Piloteer did not appear to be able to get the .plt file up to the right custom mission number).

Seeing the old x-wing missions in xwa/upgrade quality is fantastic - when I recal how boxy the ships where when I first played the old DOS version....sheeze, I feel old now!

Thanks very much to everyone involved in this project - you have made an Old Jedi very happy :D

Is anyone else playing this??? I thought there would be more interest in XWC on the forum...TFTC and Redux have/had their own websites.....will it be 'advertised' on some of the other sites e.g. Darksabers???
