Need Help Adding New Ships

I'm using mxvted4final, and my ship is not showing up in the Tech Library. It shows up fine in Skirmish mode, though.

Also, I'm trying to add picture files, so they aren't blank in Skirmish mode, but DATECH won't let me import a new bitmap to save my life, and DAT Customizer just keeps telling me the bitmap isn't the same height or width as the orginal BMP. But the original one is blank!

And to clarify, my bitmaps are 180x180 at 256 colors.
