TIE Cockpit Resolutions

Considering a lot of people are playing this game now with widescreen resolutions, using XWAHacker's GUI to change the desired resolution and FOV seem to be rather common. I see issues with the TIE cockpits still having older resolution options in the installs for the craft packs. I'm curious is there is any community desire to see a 1920 x 1080 (or like) resolution for the standard TIE installs.

My work around now is just decreasing the FOV for my pilot to 70 degrees from the standard 86 degrees which gives me a larger view area out the front cockpit window. This however makes close in fights a little disorienting and doesn't do many other the other cockpits much justice being so zoomed in.

Thoughts?

This is from the readme files I've just redone, for the TIE Fighters, this should explain a few things
The TIE Resolution options have been removed; I felt they were no longer necessary as most people use a wide screen option, when I first made the TIE Cockpits, the model screens used to line up with those on screen, which at the time was pretty cool.

The actual TIE Cockpits have also had a slight overhaul as they have or should I say had a limited view which made it difficult to see the gameplay, I usually ended up turning the cockpit off and I made them lol. A while ago DTM sent me a modified TIE Cockpit which allowed you to view more of the game play, so I’ve modified the entire range of cockpits to mimic the same design. I’ve changed the front window to make the framing slightly thinner, moved everything forward and scaled most of the instruments in front of you to around 40-50% thinner to allow you to be seated (so to speak) nearer the window, giving you a better view of the game play. The Cockpits now also have holes cut in the panelling left and right of your viewpoint, representing view screens, again to see more of the game play. I’ve updated a few of the textures, but the cockpits are still not movie accurate, so don’t build your hopes up that much.
There is a now just one standard cockpit POV which allows for a better view of the gameplay

I'll be releasing them soon as I'm in the process of updating the individual installers and in another month or so there be a new release of the DSUCP and XWACP which will include the updated cockpits.
