Hello,
Here is an updated version of BinHexEdit.

BinHexEdit is a tool to edit binary file. It uses text based files to create editable modules.

BinHexEdit v2 is not based on the v0.5 source code. It was completely rewritten from scratch and only reuses the same files formats.

Credits:
  • Demon for BinHexEdit v0.5
  • Jérémy Ansel (JeremyaFr) for BinHexEdit v2
The package included:
  • BinHexEdit v2
  • BHE XWingAlliance v1.5

Hi jeremy, just spotted a sort of bug

I was just making new 202 files for the Falcon, and used BHEv2 to edit this, that's fine as far as that goes, but, if I patch the exe externally with ZT patcher then in BHEv2 I go to a different craft slot, then back to the Falcon slot is doesn't refresh

I know I've made the changes as I checked MxVted but even though I've changed the Cockpit name from MillenniumFalcon3 to MillenniumFalcon2 it still remains as MillenniumFalcon3 in BHEv2, it should have changed once I clicked on the Millennium Falcon slot again in BHEv2

For it to change you to have to reopen the *.Bhe file again

Thanks :)

Hello,

Currently the values are not reloaded when the slot selection changes.
When you open a bhe or exe file, all the values are readen and stored in memory. When you click Write, all the values present in memory are written to the exe.
You can click "Reset values" to ignore the values present in memory and to re-read all the values from the bhe and exe file.

Yeah I forgot about the reset values button

Once written and you click reset values it's like a refresh
