Twin Pod or cloadcar...

I have been walking around with this question quite some time now. Why do they need two pilots in a craft that small could someone please explain....

How do I know?<P>maybe...<P><I>I heard that the twin pod cloud car is originally designed for military use. That means that the another pod is the gunner pod, which seated a gunner who target the light laser cannons (when needed). They later made a civillian version of it, that still has the second pod.
