Do you have BinHexEdit? If not, you can get it from Darksaber's site (http://www.darksaber.freeserve.co.uk), along with the XWA ShipEdit 1.1 Module, which you will also need (You will need the Visual Basic 5 Runtimes, which you can get from www.xwingalliance.com). Once you have got all that, and installed them, you go into BHE, click 'Open Project', then click on XWA_Shipedit.bhe, and it will ask you to give it the location of your XWA .exe file. Once you have done that, you can scroll down to Engine Sounds on the pop-down menu, and scroll down until you get to the slot of your add-on ship. You can replace the number there (most likely 23) with the number of any other ship. I recommend 10 (Assault Gunboat. You probably know half of this anyway, considering the fact that you added the ship, but I don't mind.
[This message has been edited by Smeg (edited 13 March 2001).]

It'll be Reserved Fighter #1, then (the slots are in the same place as in Mxvted). If you look in the Reserved Fighter slots, you can tell which one is which by the cockpit name. Then you just note the number, find it in Engine Sounds, and change the engine sound.
[This message has been edited by Smeg (edited 14 March 2001).]
