I wanna Edit!

In recent weeks I have become fascinated with the work you guys are doing with this game, and I have decided to try it out. But, I am a small nobody who doesn’t really know how to do this. I would like some help: 1) What programs do I need? 2) Where can I get these programs? 3) Are there tutorials available on how to edit a game. I really want to start out on the “easiest” part of editing, whether it be DXF’ing, texturing, or something else. Any help would be appreciated.
