Ok we've had 5 movies, plus 1 book so far all with different music.
Which 1 do you like the best?
There are many things in all I like but I think my fave is:
Empire Strikes Back!
Everytime I hear it I just picture all the scenes from the film. When I watch it the music just stands out.
There are many pieces I like in all the films though. The Duel of the Fates, the similar tune in SOTE etc. I just wish I could also play AOTC on my PC!
"Wow thats beautiful.....So when do we blow it up?"
GH: You just killed an unarmed man!
CE: Well, he should have armed himself.
(Gene Hackman and Clint Eastwood)-Unforgiven

Sorry, didn't see this topic before.
Definitely ESB.
Then in descending order: ANH, ROTJ, AOTC, TPM
Hey, I just realized that that's also my order of liking the SW movies.
Let's not forget to mention my othe favorite movie, Lord Of The Rings. It certainly deserved its oscar for best score.
There are 10 kinds of people.
Those that understand binary, and those that don't.

Sorry Ace I missed this topic and answered this question on another forum.
Best soundtrack ESB of course!
..and the best of the best is:
"Entering hyperspace" (Best to listen during speeding)
The whole ESB album is good. I always said that this is the best because it's the most dramatic, dark episode. Irvin Kershner the director was non famous in the movie making world but he showed his talent with this film!!!
John Williams did his best also with the soundtrack of ESB.
It seems like he reached back to Wagner.
...and instead of stealing he's made something valuable that builded on the fundaments of Wagner's music.
I love it!!!

I love 'em all, but ESB is my favorite - I love the Imperial March.
This is just my two cents.
Did I say that?

ROTJ specifically the Battle of Endor III track where Luke defeats his father, Darth Vader in the lightsaber duel. The Emperor electrifying Luke and he being thrown into the chasm. And Vader's death.

Yes, that part is very good in ROTJ.
"the duel". Very interesting combination of stringed instruments and background vocals.
But in total ESB rules!!!
[ 18 September 2002: Message edited by: Shivrak ]

Either AotC (I love Across the Stars and the last two tracks.) or ESB.

Yup, although I love Battle of Endor II and III tracks. I find myself playing ESB often. Maybe it's because for me it has the most collection of good tracks. I don't even like ESB before. But after watching the Trilogy over and over again. I have come to believe that it is the best in the Trilogy.

Yeah...I made the same experience.
As for fav SW soundtrack
-ESB: "hyperspace"...you really can "hear" the speed
-RotJ: "into the trap" is my absolute favorite
....and all other stuff is also great. John Williams is da man.

AOTC: Confrontation with Count Dooku and Finale, I love how a number of the older themes are mixed together
ESB: Imperial March. Can't beat it.
ROTJ: Into the Trap, I can always picture the fleet jumping into hyperspace
TPM: The Droid Invasion
