Playing from the GOG version, I have english SUBS after installing DSUCP 2.6 but still Italian Audio. Can I just install the Italian Patch or it will corrupt the game as it did with the STEAM version?

Yes it won't install, but it can't be made in to updated installer, but it's easier to just use the GOG version
well You create those installer version just once ^^, and archive them in the box.

stupid question about the assigned to record : Darksaber, did you change it ? Just remarked that the assignation was to Phantom Squadron when I checked after mission B0M8, while it was the ship where you wre assigned to that was there in the stock game (at least as far as I can remember)

Would like to know how the hell did you manage to do that :)

Sorry but I haven't a clue what your talking about, your question might make sense to you, but when I read it, it doesn't make sense to me mate :(

This :
Image

The "assigned to" value usually is the cruiser you are assigned to in the stock game (at that point in the game just after mission 7 in the prologue, it would display "Tour of Duty Record" if my memory don't fail me, probably a bug in the original game)
with DSUCP, it's changed to Phantom Squadron, I want to know how you did that :)

Ah right, now I get you, it's nothing I've changed, that's why I didn't understand what you meant, you can find it in the Fronttxt.txt just search for Phantom :)

It's extactly the same in the original Fronttxt.txt file, I've just open the file from the disc, it's the same :)

I honestly haven't a clue what i've done or not done, have you ever thought though it might have been one of Jeremy's hooks that fixed whatever the problem was, if there was a problem to begin with??????????????????????

I don't think his hooks have anything to do with it, AFAIK the XWAUCP have the same hooks but the issue is still there....ah well

Hello,
I think the "Assigned To" text is controlled by the "Mothership Insigna" in AlliED.

The first "Mothership Insignia" in AlliED controls the insignia in the first part of the mission briefing (Admiral's briefing or MK's).
I've just taken a look and most Azzameen Family missions and both the training missions have the wrong insignia.
They will be fixed in the next release of the Mission Update.

Not sure about the second "Mothership Insignia" in AlliED, as it is usually the same as the first one in most Alliance missions.
I've noticed an exception though: Battle 2, Mission 1, Flight Staff Transfer (1b2m1g).
Here the first "Mothership Insignia" is set "Defiance" and the second one is set to "Liberty".
I don't judge tactics. The Battle is the best and only Judge.

And Jeremy is absolutely right: the first "Mothership Insignia" in AlliED also controls the "Assigned To" status.

Make sense, since the first mission of battle 2 you transfer from the Defiance to the Liberty

@darksaber, quick question like that :

Anyway to include the liveries for Red 2 and Red 5 as flight color 5 and 6 for the X-Wing ? Just thought that since YogeMe permit using flight colors above 4, that it would be possible to implement those and actually modify the few missions where you see Wedge(battle of Endor) and Luke(capture of the Suprosa) to user their personal flight colors for their crafts.

Great job mate on reordering the licons.bmp. That makes a lot of sense and easier to track things. Since most everything is driven by strings.txt file which matches the .exe slots and Jeremy's HangarMapEditor, I'm thinking about sorting/reordering the ShipList.txt and SpecDesc.txt files to match Strings.txt for TFTC. A simple cut and paste but changing the line prefixes. So species 17 would become SkiPray BlastBoat instead of the Lambda Shuttle and so forth. Updating relevant AlliED files and BHE .txt/.csv files to match. By the way, the Accelerator Ring, Laser Accelerator Rings II, and III are actually the Mines T/1, 2, and 3. Don't know why they crossed mixed them. Strings.txt KSpec.... define them at end sections but mappings point to mines .opt files in other files. B/t/w, I think latest install of SensorArray may have messed up the ShipList.txt file (species 91 repairyard was overwritten by 133 and Licons.bmp followed suit.) This happened on my install. GOG, + DSUCPv2.6 and fixes + every new individual .opt models that have come out since then. I fixed it on my end.

That would be a hell of a lot of work for very little reward, changing the mapicons didn't impact the game that much, but changing the Shiplist and Specdesc would be massive, as every mod, shp or zt (202) file out on the web would be totally useless, if you ever made the change, no other mod would be able to be installed, unless is was changed to the new style, I can't see that happening though.

Oh and I fixed the Sensor Array installer as soon as I realised it had messed up the RepYard, redownload it and install again.

Good points. Leaving it as status quo. If you have some free time, no hurry, could you PM me in near future which ship slots you plan to replace in the year-end DSUCPv2.7 release? I thought you mentioned something about replacing the EU Calamari Cruisers Odysseus and the Defiance with Driftwood's MC75 and DTM's MC85 and Hammerhead CRV models. Anything else? I've had to edit some missions as they referenced a few models that are no longer in the current UCP. It would help me coordinate things quicker. Thanks.

Edit: I think the following images are missing in the Map_Icons_UCP.dat file; the Modified Strike Cruiser 14800--22500 (even used in XWA?), Cargo Freighter, Connector Rod, Cargo Freighter Engine, Cargo Tanker Engine, and Cargo Tanker. Might be good to add these in case anyone ever wanted to use them for custom missions and mods.

I know that chances are that it will be rejected, but anyway to have the choice between Legends or Disney canon timeline for the crafts description in the next version installer(mostly thinking about the R-22 there) ?

BTW, while i'm also thinking about this :
https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/MB-C1_medium_transport

The mobquet actually have an official designation!

Same for the Deep Space Manufacturing Facility :

I'm puzzled it's already called the Deep Space Manufacturing Facility

I'm not sure where you coming from with the R-22 (which is up to DTM)

I think it would be easier just to tell me what you think it should either be called or type a description, but include a link, it'll be less confusing and more to the point :D :D :D

I'll change the Mobquet's designation to MB-C1 Medium Transport

For the dmsf, it has the X7 designation, that's why :-P

For the r-22, it's mostly because it's a HKD design that was was used first by the tammuz-an in the EU, with the basic design used as the basis for the RZ-1 after the battle of yavin, where the whole thing was similar as just keeping the frame and making a new craft with it, while in the Disney canon it was made by KSE instead and the rz-1 were just modified R-22s.

There is a couple of other difference, such as the Quasar-Fire escort carrier, which is a modified bulk cruiser used by the alliance in the EU, while its a dedicated carrier for the Imperials in Disney canon, etc...

Don’t know if anyone’s would be interested but I’m working on an install that mostly uses the Disney canon. I say mostly because I’m planning on editing the missions so the original campaign is still playable. I’m keeping non canon ships that I really like, are vital to game play or have appeared in other legends material. If anyone’s interested I’ll post it here. Also I’ve reworking how the stations and objects to free up slots trying to use the generic slot idea.
