Hey jeremy, I'm still struggling with the lightmap function to the point where it's driving me nuts. The function adds illumination to parts of a texture where there should be none. Evenif I use a transparent png with only the lights are present, it adds illumination to half fo the texture.

Here's an example of a texture:
illumination0.jpg
By my understanding, everything that's not illuminated, should be displayed black. However, this is what the function makes of it instead:

Hello,

You can try that:
- convert the texture to 32 bits
- replace the illum map
- convert back the texture to 8 bits

Now you can export a S-Foils animation step in XwaSFoilsEditor.

UPDATE

Hello,
I've updated XwaOptEditor.

Now, when a file dialog is shown, the tool remenbers the directory for each type of dialog (open, save, import, export, each file type).
This apply to XwaHangarMapEditor, XwaOptEditor, XwaSFoilsEditor.

Hello.

I'm trying to use the tool to review some older (00's) OPTs but it tends to crash quite frequently. Is there anything that can be done tosolve this I'm on Windows 7 with .net framework 4.7.2 installed

Is there an error message when the tool crashes?
Does it happen every time a specific OPT is loaded?
Can you share an OPT file that make the tool to crash?

Hi JeremyFr,

In Optechv2, originally you could only scale the opt by percentage, but then you added scale by metres to Optech, where as in XWA Opt Editor, you can only scale by Metres,

My question is, it possible to add scale by percentage to XWA Opt Editor please?

Install the newest version and try again.
XWA Opt Explorer is good just to view opts. Older XvT type opts it doesn't always like.

To share zip and drag into the full editor reply box here and it should let you attach files
