Hello,
I ´am a bit stumped on how to solve this:
Without a connected Controller the Game runs buttery smooth. As soon as I connect (various) Controllers / Sticks XW_A dumps down to 4 / 5 FPS.
Hope someone had this problem solved before...

Ps4 is the key. Controllers are usamble on xwa only until they are ps3 compatible.

The PS4 DS is the One Device I didnt even connect because 5 Controllers before delivered the same Result...
Using only my Flightstick connected delivers the same Result. InGame Menu (pressing "Escape") is instantly fluid as well. In Game disconnecting my Controller restores the Framerate asap.

Hello,
Here is something you can try:
- rename dinput.dll with a different extension
- download xwa_hook_main_no_dinput.zip from xwa_hook_main_no_dinput
- copy hooks_main.dll in your xwa directory
- run XwaExePatcher and apply the patch to XWingAlliance.exe

You can try to rename the "Hook_Joystick_Ff.dll" file with a different extension.
This will disable the new joystick configurator.
