Please help.
I just installed the Super Backdrops v3.1 and the Rebel Dynamic Cockpits v2.1 on my Steam version of XWA and now I'm experiencing crashes. I installed the updated Azzameen Quarters upgrade and that seemed to go well but the others have crashed my game.

Did you install the craft pack and the patch correctly before that, and did it work?

Yes. I've been playing for a while with the most recent version of the XWAU patch. The Steam version is already patched to v2.02

Go to the Backup folder and copy back the files before those updates and the game should work again.
Then you can do one at a time to test

Where should I copy the files back to? The main folder?

The backups are created in the relevant subfolders. So if it's in Resdata you copy it to that.Demis_Russos wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 10:39 pmWhere should I copy the files back to? The main folder?
If there are no folders then the files go into the main directory.

Okay. Well I ended up doing a reinstall and lost a few missions - no biggie. But I'm reluctant to try again.
I could do the Azzameen ready room update without any glitches but the cockpit update caused a crash and I didn't try with the Star field. I feel as though I'm missing a step in the procedure but I can't be sure.

I've had some success with my issue as of typing this.
I was missing a step in the procedure for installing these additions. I missed the patch for the v1.6 XWAU. Once I installed that, I experienced no more crashes. I have noticed the briefing screen and the crew quarters are no longer in widescreen but the in game screen looks really good.

Ugh - that's gonna be some registry editing malarkey isn't it...JeremyaFr wrote: ↑Sat Nov 14, 2020 3:22 pmHello,Demis_Russos wrote: ↑Sat Nov 14, 2020 6:33 amI have noticed the briefing screen and the crew quarters are no longer in widescreen

Also, I feel like I'm missing a step after successfully installing the updates. I'm not seeing any great improvement in the backdrops. Is there some additional thing I have to do to make them work?

Found it. I missed installing Blue Max's effects package from the d/l page.Demis_Russos wrote: ↑Sun Nov 15, 2020 12:49 amAlso, I feel like I'm missing a step after successfully installing the updates. And I was able to edit the .CFG file to stretch the briefing screen.
It's working beautifully now. This beats the pants of Star Wars: Squadrons!
