[SOLVED] How to uninstall/reinstall?

I want to reinstall the patch but I dont see any uninstaller in the steam folder, I installed the main mega update. Can I just uninstall the game and reinstall the patch or do I need to uninstall the patch first?

If you want to start over then reinstall the game and then apply the XWAU Mega Patch.
You can also go to the Backup folder under your XWA folder and copy everything back which will undo changes.
You can also technically install the Mega Patch again and it will just replace the right files. I wouldn't recommend that maybe if you are having some issues.

Thanks for that confirmation, I thought I might not be able to reinstall if I didnt do it correctly but I was able to delete the files without any problems, thanks!

I'm finally getting around to reinstalling with the mega patch. Fresh install in place and running the patch but it's not selecting a destination folder. Where does it need to go? I ran the previous incarnation okay but I can't recall if it went in the Steam folder with XWA or if it's just going to run somewhere.

Tell the installer to point to your XW Alliance game folder. Where ever that is.
Install Update 1 straight after.
Once installed run from the Alliance launcher, Update 1 adds a desktop shortcut.
Don't have Steam running while playing is advised as it can mess it up.
