[HELP] Pilot file not loading

Hi, I was trying to do a clean install and my pilot files were a mess with junk so I deleted them all through the launcher , unfortunately that somehow made the game think they were deleted permanently and now when I copy a backup pilot file into the game directory and load the pilot file it puts me back at the start of the game. It's not a huge loss, I had only just joined the rebellion and can do the missions again I suppose but would be nice if I could find a fix.

Try this:
move your pilot file out of the game folder.
Then create a new pilot with the same name with the launcher and start the game once. Quit again and now replace the newly created pilot file in the folder with your original one.

[edit]I wrote to copy your pilot at first, but that can actually cause issues, so move it out of the directory and then create the new pilot with the same name[/edit]
