Neither is the Ferry Boat liner too.
Geez standards have slipped since I have been away. ;)

Forceflow I've also found some bad links in various parts of the Screenshot page.
Rebel Platform is one but I would need to go through it properly to list them all

Well we have that big package with all the OPTs in them so you only need to download those flagged as "NEW" :D

Just you wait, I'll get you to install the craft pack eventually!

That's not my point mate lol I'm pointing out a flaw in the site ;)
I found a bad link on Darksabers page too lol

Also I was not aware that I need to download only the ones marked New. I assumed they were all in the main patch.
Does the complete release only get updated now and then?

Yeah pretty much whenever there's enough content/updates to warrant a comprehensive update. The odd ship here, ship there doesn't usually justify a full patch upgrade.

Chill mate, I was just having a bit of fun.
Yeah it looks like there's actually no link at all behind those two, which is odd.

The XWAU Craft Pack was sort-of a by-product of the DSUCP, and yeah it's been updated only rarely, last about a year ago due to the effort it entails.
That's why Force added the NEW flag for those OPTs that have been released since the last big pack - it's even described at the top of the Download page :D.

Well, the links are there... your browser just doesn't let you click them ;)
Should be fixed now. Issue was that in order for the 'new' icon to show up I simply place an image over the existing image. Unfortunately I made that image too high. So in case the displayed icon was less than 100 pixels in height (which some of the possible icons are) the dummy image (which is always placed over the icon, no matter if it is new or not) will be placed over the link itself. Thus you couldn't click it. Since the images rotate the problem doesn't always pop up at all. You might need to force-refresh the page in order to make sure it will now load the properly sized images.
I will also have a look at the screenshots page.

Ah okay, that one was lazy programming on my end... also fixed now :)

Actually I did see that after I posted. Oops. Tbf there's a lot of words lol
And you will be happy to know I have installed the patches now. Most of them ;)

My goal is to the most annoying newbie ever!!

Thanks Force. If I get time to go through the screens fully I can send you details of the small hiccups I had last night.

To be honest Ace, I don't know why your installing each individual installer, the point being that quiet a few of the fighter craft, Rebel and Imperial are out of date and the newer versions only being in the DSUCPv2.6 and XWAUCPv1.6

I just haven't got around to updating the individual installers with the newer versions of the craft, the only individual craft you should be installing are those highlighted as NEW in the download section

Your more than likely to overwrite files with older versions of craft, missions, backgrounds and other files, and possible screwing up your game configuration, if you have installed all the individual installers, try taking a look at your resdata.txt file if it's as long as your arm, then you may have problems.

Installing the newer individual installers is fine in the short term as they are more compatible with DSUCPv2.6 and XWAUCPv1.6 anything older than the craft packs themselves I would not install!

I read you installed the Steam version of XWA (Wrong) You have more control installing GOG version of XWA rather than Steam or messing about with Discs, You download install the files from Steam, Steam also altered both the Alliance.exe and Xwingalliance.exe making them impossible to edit, installing either of the craft packs as a work around to Steam f***ing up the *.EXE's The craft packs replace both files with the 1999 disc versions, then making countless edits to remove stuff like CD and HDD checking so the game runs from your Harddrive. Where as you don't have to do this with GoG as you download the game in it's own exe and install at your leisure where you what it. (I Hate Steam lol)

Anyhow

The order to install stuff
Either DSUCPv2.6 and XWAUCPv1.6, (includes everything you can possible think of already)
Then ONLY the individual Installers Highlighted as NEW
Then and only then update your Hooks, DDraw.dll (1.3.8)
And then install Blue Max's Effects and Dynamic Cockpits

We've known each other for quiet a few years now, I wouldn't give you bad advice :D

Just because it is available download and install, doesn't mean you should download and install it.

I think there's been some confusion here. You're all too full of rust ;)

I have NOT installed all the individual files. I ran the XWAUP as intended. I'm not completely stupid. I think :hilfe:
I HAVE "downloaded" all the separate files for my own archive as I can do if I wish. So naaaa :D
Just wanted to point out the bad links like any friendly person should. :)
Yeah it's my bad for not reading the bit at the top but tbf it was after 12am and I've been sleeping badly lol
I told you I'm really a noob now. I totally get why the versions packs are delayed. I saw how long it took to install!

Please see my title - Chief XWAU Team annoying nitpicker
Don't think you lot are off the hook yet lol

I don't own the GoG Version, only Steam. So not planning on buying it again. Plus it's running well enough.

Also Darksaber you have a bad link on your own site! ;)

The New Generic X-Wing download link at the top isn't right.

On that note, the Repair Yard is a dead link.
