Is that a texture for use in-game? Or is that in a model viewer?

If I were to guess, I'd say it's a preview of the Victory II.

Wunderbar!
When are we going to get to fly around in Tron City? I can't wait to fly into that thing because I think it's space and not matter.

Alright, time for me to say something myself.
This TRON inspired version pretty much resulted from an inside joke about those neon-blue DEFAULT textures peeping through the otherwise textured bits. So out of spite I whipped this one together as a practical joke. However, looking at it ingame I realized it actually looked pretty cool and decided to keep it as a bonus 7th FG color, no matter how nonsensical it is in a SW context.
I had not planned to use it for the target screen, but that idea is actually not half bad. I'll have to think about that...
BTW, here's a more regular looking one, which will replace the VSD1-exclusive Crimson Command one:

Ok, I just actually had a small discussion with blue max about having the middle MFD have the option to display models in wireframe mode to be a little more immersive. And that's sorta what I had in mind. I will say however that its not realistic to have a special flight group color for every ship retextured just for the center MFD. Rather it would probably have to be some sort of fancy effects to enhance and occlude the actual wireframe model.

The VSD1 will retain its Crimson Command FG. For the VSD2 I‘ll instead go with that black-striped, as I call it, Task Force Nightfall marking.
