The Mos Eisley city block OPT is done. Here's what it looks like on the Tatooine Landscape. What you see in the picture is several city blocks tiled together to make, you guessed it, a city.
Here's the first pic.
Image
Here's another pic, different angle, closer to the ground.
Image
Here's what the city looks like when approaching it from the distance.
Image
Thanks again to TIMMAY, for making the model for this OPT.

Yah I thought about the same thing with the coruscant setting of my shipset. Although I would probably do this on the hi detail coruscant version where I need to save frame rate.

I think a little patience is in order here...you could have waited a reasonable amount of time before posting your message again here, especially after you posted the same message in the pilot lounge yesterday. Sorry about the repition I wasent sure how often you look at your email or if I sent it right. And I wasent sure if you would see it in the pilot lounge sense it was a dieing post. I knew you would see it here cause youd come back to look at oppinions of your .opts.

but what do you say could you at least email what you have for the atmospheric levels. I am really curios as to how they would work combine with my shipset. I dont have time to email pics now I got some one waiting for me at the gym ill do it as soon as I get back. IIm in a rush.
[This message has been edited by HITTER (edited 29 April 2002).]

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the textures underneath the buildings have explosion marks that become visible if a building is destroyed. However, I have not made the meshes destroyable yet. Unless I build a mission where Mos Eisley comes under attack, I might not make the meshes destroyable, just depends. However, in the Yavin shipset, the meshes need not be destroyable.

Great work Abolisher! With the destroyable meshes, you could set them to destroyable and make the opt invincibl in AlliED, but yu probably already thought of that. I've only managed to get the actual dock that the Falcon's at so-far. It is almost impossible to get anything else Image
------------------
Your not even listening to me! When a cat is dropped, it always lands on its feet, and when toast is dropped, it always lands with the buttered side facing down. I propose to strap buttered toast to the back of a cat; the two will hover, spinning inches above the ground. With a giant buttered cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.

Actually Gringlas, I did get your mail, finally. However, the attachment is missing. That's OK though because with the new OPTech, I can quickly zero all of the software vectors and make the ground OPT work.
Freelancer_MSE, if you don't have pictures of the exterior of the spaceport, that's OK. I'd suggest making it dome shaped with a hangar in front and a few arched doorways along the sides. Then you can make the interior from the pictures that you do have.
Ace, do you have any further suggestions?

Ok, I'll see what I can do for you Abolisher. The only problem is that I have to use a work computer to post here and I can't upload or download anything with it. That is because I'm out of internet time and need to get some more because my plan is a prepaid one, which I'll be switching from soon.
------------------
Your not even listening to me! couldn't you make it it all one opt? then the idea could work. and ultamitly it would save on slots insted of one building a slot. theres a idea. make opts of groups of buildings. just throwing out ideas
