Here we are with yet another bunch of great releases!

We start with warb_nulls awesome
Cargo Facility 2

Another station crossed of the list and an absolute beauty to behold:




But lo and behold, today we don't just have one station, we actually have to:

Space Colony 1

GT loves all things big and epic. The first of the Space Colonies, while the last in line, is the first to be released in HD. Drastically scaled up from its rather puny original it features a detailed hangar complex, spacious enough to easily accommodate Lambda Shuttles flown by drunken pilots. :D

It's another stunning beauty! Be sure to check out it's huge inside hangar!




And we are still not done! In the quest to make already beautiful things even better, GT has another upgraded-upgrade up his sleeve:

Assault Transport v2 HD

This HD rendition of GT's original Assault Transport has been given a neat buff in detail. In addition a few weird looking textures have seen various improvements.

I always thought it was one of the best ships we had, but man it's even better looking now:



I would say we are off to a great start this year! So many great ships!

Thanks to all involved, not only the creators, but also DS for providing the installers and all the team members testing out the ships and offering insights!

Off topic, does anyone know if the ATR-6 (legend/EU/Cannon or whatever) mention about the back wings ever retracting into the hull of the craft when it lands, or is it a craft assumed to have repulsorlift technology and hover above ground? If the former, I could probably implement an S-Foils patch for the rear wing meshes to slide up at a 20 degree angle, or maybe fold down like a hinge under the craft. I do have the ATR present in some of the TF hangars and has been on my to-do list. Just curious if it warrants the time.

Not to my knowledge. If I recall, it has only shown up in the the X-wing games, and I don't recall any moment that would have indicated the wings were meant to retract.

Most craft in universe have repulsor lift engines for vtol, I would assume that it does, and also has landing gear that extends also, even though it's not present on the model and isnt mentioned in tech specs. I suspect repulsors are one of the basic functions like power steering, electric windows, and radios are in vehicles today and is assumed to be included.

In the Space Colony 1 I've noticed that there are some Landing Platform components "Land Plt" and others "Land Plt 100%".
Is there a reason/explanation for this?

The small landing platforms have a different explosion type than the big ones. The 100% means they‘re destructible in some cases.

I'm having two issues with the cargo facility 2:
  1. Destroying it crashes the game
  2. Flying into the hangars, and then towards the center, it is possible to become trapped by unpruned internal geometry (see image)
