I found a possible bug I think, when the wings are closed I was able to fly right through them without crashing or taking damage, so they appear to not have collision when closed. When open I crashed right into them with the expected fiery results.

Re: Gallofree transport, if it's not exploding into pieces, it's because the mesh types or some of them are not setup to do so. Applies to any model. It's the drop down menu that starts with "MoveLine1", "BreakAndExplode", etc type 1 and type2 . . . in OpTech, but you can easily fix it in XWAOptEditor. The type of model and mesh types have influence on that too, as far as "if" it works and how it behaves in game.

Hadn't noticed that, but remember that the vanilla S-Foils function wasn't supposed to work with those ships, so my suspicion is the game doesn't change the hitzones. Not sure if that can be fixed.

That makes sense, I didn't check to see if there was an invisible wall at the normal open location, and getting a VSD to stick around long enough at the end of a skirmish to check again is proving very difficult (not sure why it stayed the first time now, lol). Since it's such a rare thing to see that it's probably not worth worrying about.

Heh I've got a fairly easy way keep it around: Have it on your side and have fight an armada of 8x6 Bulk Freighters (Container hangar works, too). By the time they're all destroyed it will have traveled far enough so you'll have a few minutes' window to try it out.

Edit: Just tested it. There is indeed no colision if the wings are closed.

The rubble uses textures from the destroyed starship’s OPT. For example, it’s funny: if you destroy the new VSD1 model and fly close enough, the rubble’s texture is a bunch of tiny VSDs.
GT did you know this? lol I may have to blow it up just to see ;)

Yup, knew that :)

You don't really have control over which texturse are used for the rubble. Also, it wasn't overly apparent in the past as we had to cut hull textures into pieces to stay within the size limits - or, in case of the TG original, they'd just use basic metal textures and slap them all over the things.

That is absolutely fantastic. Especially the battered one. Puts my renditions of battered ship skins to shame. Bravo.

There are some changes coming to the VSD in our latest Update 5.5!
@Vince T has created an all-new larger Hangar Model.
This allows for a lot more space, meaning Droids can move about and more spacious landing areas.

Available very very soon.
