FWIW, my view of the news page is the same as m0rgg's, so at least our phones are consistent with each other.

Also, the logo and Falcon images are appropriate sizes there, so if you can figure out what's different between the news and forum pages and reconcile them, it could help.

Biggest issue right now is that I cannot reproduce it on my end. It has something to do with the fact that the forum has a lot more dynamic css built-in to make for a better mobile experience. Unfortunately that does seem to break things under certain conditions. I tried to remove the mobile code, but that just ends up breaking the forum on mobile completely.

May I just say a big thank you to Forceflow for taking the time out of his schedule to do all the cool improvements to the site that he has lately.

The site is looking great now with cool improvements to the screenshots and menus etc.

So thanks for keeping this place up and running for 20 years when nearly all of the other XWA sites have closed.
We appreciate your efforts and heres to another 20 of your web hosting :D

I tried to adjust the font size further, is the menu better now?

It's better. Not ideal since it stays there permanently, but much more usable!
Thanks ;)

There is a funny effect. When reading, it has one size. When putting the cursor in the editable text area for writing a reply, all the fonts become smaller (including the menu)

Whoa, that's new. Which is to say, same here.

I *think* what's happening is the virtual keyboard is occupying enough space on the bottom of the screen that the aspect ratio of the site's render surface becomes more desktop-like, and the dynamic CSS reacts accordingly.

Also, allow me to echo Ace's sentiment. Thank you *so much* for continuing work on the site for so long, and taking the time to look into issues like these.

Yeah, the issue is that in order to be able to provide a more consistent behavior I am using the screen size of the device to size the font. Unfortunately the screen keyboard dramatically reduces the available screen size.
Not sure if there is a good workaround for this. There are just so many different possibilities.

In my opinion, shrinking the menu when a text box has focus/the keyboard is displayed probably increases usability, since one is unlikely to actually use the menu if they're composing a message, and it reduces any overlap between the menu and the text box. The rest of the fonts get a little small, but not unreadably so.

I don't suppose you can get the screen dpi info out of the user agent, or some such?
